Nine-hour show days and a Wednesday gala at Fort Mason

The San Francisco Fall Show opens its 2026 edition with a Wednesday gala on 14 October and four show days in the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason. The floor runs 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The window the organiser publishes

The San Francisco Fall Show opens its 2026 edition at Festival Pavilion, Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture, 2 Marina Blvd. The Opening Night Gala runs Wednesday, October 14. The floor then runs four days: Thursday, October 15 through Saturday, October 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, October 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The organiser publishes those clocks at sffallshow.org.

Five nights of demand sit inside that window. The shape of the week carries more than the day count.

Which nights carry the rate

The gala puts the demand week on a Wednesday. The organiser's booking system sells five tiers, and each tier carries its own entry clock. Visionary sells six gala tickets for $10,000 and enters at 5 p.m. Connoisseur sells four for $5,000 and enters at 5 p.m. Collector sells two for $2,700 and enters at 5 p.m. Enthusiast sells two for $1,100 and enters at 6 p.m. Supporter sells one for $400 and enters at 7 p.m.

Three arrival waves spread across two hours, and the tiers run from $400 to $10,000. The organiser's press page links a report on the 2025 gala that numbers 1,700 guests.

The long days fall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Sunday is the short day.

The rate basis

Engine reports $165 a night across 3.1 million public rate observations in San Francisco from May 2024 to April 2026. It defines those as par rates, the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search.

October reads $176 on the same page, seven percent above the citywide average. September reads $192, 16 percent above. December is the cheapest month at $129, and March is the priciest at $197. Thirty-five percent separates the cheapest month from the priciest.

Engine ranks San Francisco 18 of 50 markets, with a rate 11 percent above the $148 median of the 50 markets in its dataset.

Staff the short Sunday

Sunday runs six hours against eight and a half on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The floor closes Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and reopens Sunday at 11:00 a.m., a 16-hour gap.

Sunday carries the departure load. Schedule the desk for a checkout peak in the morning, then cut the afternoon shift against a 5:00 p.m. close. Saturday closes late, and the evening shift carries the last arrivals of the stay pattern.

Eight and a half hours on the floor

The 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. window spans the lunch and dinner dayparts. The venue lists full catering and concessions areas inside Festival Pavilion and a VIP mezzanine with Golden Gate Bridge views. A floor open across both dayparts holds guests on site through the afternoon.

The lecture programme puts two sittings inside the floor hours, at 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The organiser requires a lecture ticket in addition to a show ticket. Both sittings pull an audience off the floor in the middle of the trading day.

Gala catering runs on the organiser's own description: champagne, caviar, lamb chops and full bars.

Front-office actions

Build the block around Wednesday arrival and Sunday departure. Wednesday carries the gala, and Sunday carries the short floor.

Quote the 2026 clocks. The organiser's FAQ page still publishes 2019 hours, with a 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. gala and a noon to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, and its visit page still publishes 2021 dates. Both pages sit on the same site as the 2026 dates.

AHLA and CHLA published an Oxford Economics study on June 25, 2026. Hotels generated more than $12 billion in economic impact in San Francisco in 2025. Each hotel room night drives about $900 in citywide spending per visitor. Average daily rates reached 92 percent of 2019 levels, with a 98 percent forecast for 2026.
