Radisson Amex Offer: £50 Back on £250, and the Checkout Clause

Radisson and American Express pay £50 back on £250 of qualifying hotel spend by 31 December 2026, and the terms now route the spend through an in-person checkout.

£50 back on £250 of Radisson hotel spend

Radisson Hotels has an American Express cashback offer live in the UK. A cardholder who saves the offer and spends £250 receives £50 back, and the spending window closes on 31 December 2026. Cumulative spend counts toward the £250, so several qualifying transactions reach the threshold. Only 12,000 registrations are being accepted, which Head for Points calls low for offers of this type (19 September 2026).

The offer is targeted per card. Each American Express card in a wallet carries its own Offers entry in the app or online, and the cardholder clicks "Save to Card" on each card before spending.

Properties and countries on the offer

Park Inn by Radisson, art'otel, Park Plaza and hotels operating under Radisson Individuals appear on the participating list, alongside Radisson-branded properties. Radisson Blu Hotel, Sheffield is included. The Heathrow pair shows how narrow the list is: Radisson RED Hotel, Heathrow is included, while Radisson Heathrow shares the same building and the same check-in desks and is not.

Head for Points names 13 countries: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden and Tunisia. The offer document on the American Express website carries the terms and the full property list, and that PDF lists 179 properties across 15 countries, including 38 in the United Kingdom and one in Switzerland under the Prize by Radisson name. The United Kingdom and Switzerland do not appear in the article's country list, so read the PDF for the property a guest asks about.

What counts as qualifying spend

Charges placed on the room bill count toward the threshold. Head for Points answers a reader question on parking, bar and food spend billed to the room in the affirmative. The published terms name spend made at one participating hotel location, and the site leaves open whether spend split across two participating properties aggregates toward the £250.

The wording change that matters to the desk

Hotel cashback offers have carried two familiar conditions: qualifying spend at checkout, and no prepaid online bookings. Hotels process many of those payments through the card account used at the reception desk, and cardholder presence has gone unchecked.

The published terms for this offer carry two clauses earlier Radisson offers did not. The offer document states that it "is valid on checkout spend made in person at one of the following participating hotel locations", and it excludes "payments made online, including prepaid room bookings and online check-out".

American Express holds cardholder-present data, and a card-not-present charge carries a higher fee for the hotel because of the fraud risk. Head for Points reads the clauses as a change in eligibility practice and presents that reading as its own inference. For a front desk, the practical effect is the same: a stay paid at the desk meets the published wording, and a stay paid online may not.

The Radisson Rewards joining offer

Radisson Rewards runs a joining offer alongside the cashback. A new member who signs up through an existing member's referral link receives 5,000 bonus Radisson Rewards points on a first stay. The join deadline is 6 October 2026, and the stay can fall at any point in the following 365 days.

Head for Points values 5,000 Radisson Rewards points at £7.50, the site's own editorial valuation, and states that the points can be redeemed immediately against a following stay. Holders of The Platinum Card from American Express can upgrade Radisson Rewards status to Premium through the American Express website.

Where the published record differs

The offer document on the American Express website holds the terms, the property list and the registration cap, and it is the record a guest should be pointed to. A cardholder with several American Express cards checks the Offers section on each card before booking.
