The Oregon Arts and Culture Awards and Summit runs December 1 and 2, 2026 at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. The venue lists Portland Ballroom 251, 257 and 258 for the event. Metro, the regional government, owns the building. Two published clocks and one checkout time set the room night.
Two clocks and one night
The Awards Celebration runs Tuesday, December 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The second day opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2. The Oregon Cultural Trust publishes both clocks on culturaltrust.org/summit, and the registration form at vivaevents.regfox.com repeats them.
A guest who attends both sits down at 5:30 on Tuesday and takes a seat again at 9:00 on Wednesday. That is one night in the room. The desk sells Tuesday night and releases the room Wednesday morning, and the guest spends the second day at the convention center.
Fees run 129 dollars for the awards and the summit, 89 dollars for the celebration alone, 69 dollars for the summit alone and 712 dollars for a table of eight at the dinner. Registration fees are non-refundable, and a transfer to another person closes on November 23, 2026.
The checkout falls inside the session day
Booking listings for the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center, 375 NE Holladay St, publish check-in from 3:00 p.m. and check-out by 11:00 a.m. Kayak and Hotels.com carry the same pair. The property sits 239 metres from the venue on a straight line, measured on November 7, 2026.
Run the two together. A guest who leaves the room at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday misses two hours of a session day that opened at 9:00 a.m. and runs to 3:00 p.m. Between the 11:00 checkout and the 3:00 close sit four hours, and every one of them belongs to the programme.
So the booking question is a bag question. Ask at reservation whether the desk holds luggage after checkout, and until what hour. A guest who gets a yes walks into the 9:00 session with a coat and a notebook.
The garage opens three hours before the first clock
The convention center garage opens daily at 6:00 a.m. Entry is 15 dollars for up to 18 hours, with no in-and-out privilege. Event days carry a dynamic 15 to 25 dollar charge at the gate. The garage holds 800 underground spaces across two levels: P1 off NE Lloyd Blvd with 7-foot clearance, P2 off NE First Ave with 9 feet.
Overnight parking is prohibited, and the garage runs first come, first served. It can reach capacity on a busy schedule.
Count the dwell. An entry at 6:00 a.m. and an exit at 3:10 p.m. is nine hours ten minutes at the gate. An exit after the dinner at 8:40 p.m. is fourteen hours forty minutes. Both sit inside the 18-hour term, so the standard 15 dollars covers the day. An event-day entry takes the dynamic rate, and the spread between the 15 dollar floor and the 25 dollar ceiling is 10 dollars, or 66.7 percent at the top.
A guest who stays the night cannot use that garage, because the building prohibits overnight parking. The overnight car belongs in the property's own garage, and the front desk should say so at booking. Booking listings put self parking at the Hyatt Regency at 35 dollars a night with in-and-out privileges, and valet at 45 dollars.
Card only at the booth
The convention center runs cashless operations across food and beverage outlets, parking garages and lots, locker rentals and vending machines. The drive-through parking booths take credit and debit cards and touchless payment.
A guest who arrives with cash converts it at the reverse ATM in the MLK lobby, down the short hallway left of the welcome desk. The machine loads a Visa card once at face value with no fee, and that card works at the cafes and at the parking garage.
LocketGo lockers sit in the MLK Lobby, the Holladay Lobby and the Ginkoberry Concourse. They are reserved by phone and paid by card, which is the answer for a guest who checks out at 11:00 a.m. and wants the bag stored before the 3:00 p.m. close.
What the desk confirms in writing
Five answers settle the stay. The nightly rate with tax. A checkout time on Wednesday, December 2, and whether the property moves past 11:00 a.m. A bag hold past checkout and its closing hour. The parking arrangement for one overnight car. The transfer cut-off of November 23, so the guest registers the room under a name that will attend.
Two numbers make the last point. The 129 dollar combination ticket covers both days, and the 69 dollar summit ticket covers Wednesday alone. A guest holding the 69 dollar ticket arrives Tuesday night for a Wednesday morning, and that ticket does not cover the dinner.
The transit answer sits beside the garage. TriMet MAX stops 300 times a day at the convention center, the Portland Streetcar A Loop calls at NE MLK and Hoyt every 15 minutes, and TriMet bus line 6 stops at NE MLK and Holladay. Eight miles separate the hall from Portland International Airport.
The early departure, priced
The piece the front desk sells is a room for the night between two published windows, with a morning release and a bag stored until the session ends. One night, one checkout, one hold. A guest who hears the 11:00 a.m. clock at booking plans the Wednesday morning around it.
