Four Blocks One Month Before the Doors
Kumoricon runs 13 to 15 November 2026 in Halls A-A1-B-C-D-E at the Oregon Convention Center. The organiser lists four official hotel blocks.
Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center, 375 NE Holladay St, lists $235 a night. Courtyard Portland Downtown/Convention Center, 435 NE Wasco St, lists $214. Hotel Eastlund, 1021 NE Grand Ave, lists $199. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland, 1000 NE Multnomah St, lists $185.
The organiser prints one line under the table. Rates exclude applicable taxes and fees, and occupancy taxes in Portland are 16.5 percent, subject to change.
The Tax Line, Read From the City
The City of Portland publishes the components. The city transient lodgings tax is 6 percent, of which 5 percent goes to the general fund and 1 percent to Travel Portland. Multnomah County adds 5.5 percent. The Portland Tourism Improvement District fee adds 3 percent on taxable rent and appears on a bill only when itemised.
That totals 14.5 percent. Oregon levies no sales tax.
The organiser’s hotel page states 16.5 percent. A revenue manager quoting a group should quote the components, and a guest should check which components the property applied to the folio.
What the Guest Pays
At 14.5 percent, each published rate carries a tax figure and a gross figure.
$235 carries $34.08 in tax and reaches $269.08. $214 carries $31.03 and reaches $245.03. $199 carries $28.86 and reaches $227.86. $185 carries $26.83 and reaches $211.83.
The bare spread between the top and bottom property is $50 a night. The taxed spread is $57.25. The top property sits 27 percent above the bottom one before tax.
Three nights widen the gap. Three nights at $235 come to $705 before tax and $807.23 after it. Three nights at $185 come to $555 before tax and $635.48 after it. Tax alone on three nights at the top rate is $102.23.
The Cutoff Has Passed
The hotel page names 21 October 2026 as the reservation deadline for every block. It carries a 28 March 2026 update stamp. The deadline sits four days behind this read on 25 October.
The block route is closed. A guest booking now pays the property’s own rate, and the organiser’s notice states that rooms booked outside a block may not count toward block participation.
Two block terms still govern a reservation already held. A credit or debit card reserves the room and is not charged until arrival. A change or cancellation inside an official block carries no fee or penalty when the hotel receives it at least 72 hours before check-in.
The Badge Ladder
Registration ran on named windows. Early Neko closed 7 February at $65 for ages 13 and over and $25 for ages 6 to 12. Spring Neko closed 9 May at $75 and $30. Summer Neko closed 8 August at $85 and $30. Ghost Neko runs to 7 November at $95 and $35.
The door closes the ladder. A full weekend badge at the venue costs $100 for ages 13 and over and $35 for ages 6 to 12.
The gap between the last online window and the door is $5, or 5.26 percent. Ghost Neko closes 13 days from this read and six days before the convention opens.
Single days sell at the door. Friday and Sunday each cost $55 for ages 13 and over. Saturday costs $60. A child ticket costs $20 on any single day. Ages 5 and under enter free.
Three add-ons sit above the badge. Early Access costs $100 plus fees and carries 30 minutes of early entry to KumoriMarket across all three days, priority entry to main events and a daily jump-the-line pass. A Swag Bag costs $200 plus fees. Autographs cost $200 plus fees and carry three guaranteed guest autographs on the lowest-priced autograph type.
The Arrival Night
Registration opens at 8 a.m. on Friday. A guest attending that open needs Thursday 12 November in Portland.
The closed blocks priced that night at $211.83 in the bottom block and $269.08 in the top block after tax. Three nights from Thursday to Sunday came to $635.48 at $185 and $807.23 at $235.
A desk that quotes $185 quotes the pre-tax figure. The guest pays $211.83 that night.
Two Headcounts
The organiser publishes two figures on its about page. Paid, unique members for the 2024 edition came to 11,954. Staff for the 2024 edition came to 626. That is 19.1 paid members per staff member. The page carries no attendance forecast for 2026.
The Record at the Desk
Four rates, one tax line, one closed cutoff, one badge ladder and two 2024 headcounts carry this account. The blocks closed on 21 October. The badge ladder runs to 7 November at $95, and the venue charges $100 at the door.
A guest booking a room now pays the property’s own rate plus the tax components above. A guest arriving without a badge pays $5 above the last online price.
