IHG Prices a Point at 0.5 Cents Through 5 November

IHG One Rewards pays a 100 percent bonus on point purchases through 5 November 2026, from 0.5 cents a point at 40,000 points.

IHG One Rewards is selling points with a 100 percent bonus through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on 5 November 2026. At the top band of the published ladder a point costs about 0.5 cents. AwardWallet published the offer detail at 13:00 UTC on 21 October 2026, fifteen days before the window closes.

The key-terms block sets a 40,000-point threshold for the full bonus. A member who buys fewer points receives a smaller bonus. The promotion caps a purchase at 200,000 points before the bonus. Points post within 72 hours, and a purchase is not refundable.

The Bonus Steps Down

The page prints five bands and a price per point for each. A purchase of 1,000 to 4,000 points pays no bonus and costs 1.35 cents a point. The 5,000 to 10,000 band pays an 80 percent bonus and prices at 0.75 cents. Purchases of 11,000 to 25,000 points carry a 90 percent bonus at 0.61 cents. The 26,000 to 39,000 band also pays 90 percent and prices at 0.53 cents. The top band runs from 40,000 to 200,000 points, pays the full 100 percent bonus and prices at 0.5 cents.

Two numbers move with the band: the base price of a point and the bonus rate. Dividing each printed price by its bonus multiple gives the base. The base runs 1.35 cents a point to 4,000 points and about 1.16 cents at 11,000 to 25,000 points. It runs about 1.01 cents at 26,000 to 39,000 points and 1.00 cent from 40,000 points.

What the Top Band Costs

At 1.00 cent a point before the bonus, a 40,000-point purchase costs $400 and delivers 80,000 points. That works out at 0.5 cents a point. A purchase at the 200,000-point ceiling costs $2,000 and delivers 400,000 points at the same rate.

The page records this edition with a maximum purchase of 400,000 points including the bonus. Five earlier editions carry 600,000 points in the same column, among them 28 August 2025 and 13 December 2024.

The Best-Ever Wording

The page headline and its opening sentence call the 100 percent bonus the programme's best ever. The history table below them lists 74 editions from 15 June 2020 to this one. All 51 editions marked as a 100 percent bonus carry 0.5 cents in the minimum-cents column. Eight of the 74 fall in 2026.

The page's closing section describes the promotion as the standard offer for buying IHG points and states that it ties the best rate the programme has offered. A tie is the claim the table supports. The superlative in the headline is the publisher's own wording.

The Rate Appears in the Account

The page states the offer may be targeted and that the bonus a member receives can differ from the printed ladder. The percentage in force appears inside a signed-in IHG One Rewards account. The page tells members to read that figure before buying.

The Charge Settles Through Points.com

Points.com processes IHG point purchases, and the charge codes outside the travel and hotel categories. A card multiplier for hotel spend does not apply to the purchase.

The Redemption Average

AwardWallet puts the average redemption its users get from IHG points at 0.69 cents a point. The top band sells a point at 0.5 cents, which is 0.19 cents below that average.

Those two figures bound the trade a member makes. A purchased point costs the member 0.5 cents at the top band. The same point returns 0.69 cents on average when a member spends it on a night.

Award Nights Price Dynamically

IHG prices award nights from live demand, so the points a night needs move with the date. A guest weighing a purchase reads two figures for the same date: the points price of the night and the cash price of the same room.

The terms block does not address Elite status credit on purchased points. It does not address the effect of a purchase on the expiry date of a member's balance. It states no opening time for the window. IHG's own buy-points pages returned a 403 on 21 October 2026, so the terms in this piece come from the promotion's own block as AwardWallet publishes it.
