The Offer
World of Hyatt is taking 20% off point purchases of 3,000 points or more. The discount prices a point at 2.08 cents against a standard 2.60 cents.
The promotion opened at 12:00 a.m. ET on 20 October 2026 and closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on 21 December 2026. Purchases run online through Points.com.
The Ceiling
The standing purchase cap is 55,000 points a calendar year. Hyatt doubles it to 110,000 for the length of the promotion. A member buying the full 110,000 points pays 2,288 dollars. The standing allowance costs 1,144 dollars at the promotional price.
The offer terms require 60 days of membership before a member can buy or receive bonus points. Counting back from the 21 December deadline puts that date at 22 October 2026.
What a Point Buys Against the Award Chart
Hyatt's award chart as of 20 May 2026 starts at 3,000 points a night at Lowest rates. At 2.08 cents a point, that night costs 62 dollars and 40 cents in bought points.
Category 8 properties run to 75,000 points a night at Top rates, which is 1,560 dollars at the promotional price. The same category prices at 35,000 points a night on Lowest dates, which is 728 dollars.
The Effective Nightly Rate
An award night is paid in points. The purchase price of the point sets the cash figure a member compares with the published rate for the same date.
Hyatt waives resort and destination fees on award stays, and most hotel taxes are not charged on an award stay. A member pricing a redemption against a cash rate adds those two lines to the cash side. A redemption earns no points for the stay.
The Deadline
The discount ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on 21 December 2026. A bought point costs 2.08 cents. A 3,000-point Lowest night costs 62 dollars and 40 cents, and a 35,000-point Category 8 Lowest night costs 728 dollars.
