Three afternoons that cost the guest nothing
San Francisco Fleet Week runs 4 to 12 October 2026. The air show fills three afternoons inside that window. The organiser dates the display to Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October, each from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at Marina Green. General admission is free.
The show is staged between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Marina Green holds the Marina Green Festival Center. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels headline the lineup. The organiser bills the event as the only air show in the United States with a commercial airliner flying a fully choreographed demonstration, the United 777. The Air Show Network produces the show and sells a waterfront VIP Experience. Corporate chalet and sponsorship enquiries go to info@airshownetwork.com.
The rest of the nine-day calendar
The association's dated calendar runs Tuesday 6 October through Monday 12 October. The Parade of Ships opens the waterfront on Friday 9 October from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, free. The procession runs from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Bridge with the reviewing stand at Marina Green, and the San Francisco Fire Department fire boat leads it.
Ship tours are free and run on a first-come, first-served basis. The published schedule gives Wednesday 7 October 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pier 27; Thursday 8, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Piers 27 and 35; and Monday 12 October 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Pier 35.
The one published discount
The where-to-stay page names two properties. Axiom Hotel sits in Union Square, within steps of the SoMa district. The page offers Fleet Week attendees a special discount, and the booking link carries the promotional code GOV and hotel ID 66053. The link publishes no percentage, no nightly rate, no minimum stay and no cut-off date.
Hotel Caza is the second property named. The page places it among Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach and the Embarcadero and links its own site. The page carries no discount line for it.
The citywide rate basis
Engine's published table gives San Francisco an average of $165 a night across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. October averages $176, seven percent above the city figure. September averages $192, sixteen percent above it. December is the cheapest month at $129, and March is the dearest at $197. Engine ranks San Francisco 18th of 50 major markets, eleven percent above the $148 median. The page labels the numbers par rates, the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search.
The three air show afternoons sit inside a month that runs seven percent above the city average. The one published discount is a code with no figure behind it. A rate for the 9th, 10th or 11th of October comes from the property.
What the evening holds
The evening programme is free and published on the organiser's own calendar. Friday 9 October lists band performances at Union Square and Glen Park Library from 4:00 p.m., at Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square and the Powell Street cable car turnaround from 5:00 p.m., and the Chinatown Night Market at Commercial Street and Grant Avenue from 6:00 p.m.
Saturday 10 October runs Fleet Fest at Fisherman's Wharf until 7:00 p.m. and a band at Westwood World at 8:00 p.m. Sunday 11 October closes the Fisherman's Wharf programme at 5:00 p.m. and lists a set at Pier 39 at 5:00 p.m.
The association reports more than $10 million in annual tax revenue and over $200 million in overall economic benefit. The American Hotel and Lodging Association and the California Hotel and Lodging Association released an Oxford Economics study on 25 June 2026. That study puts hotel-generated impact in San Francisco above $12 billion for 2025, about $900 in citywide spending behind each room night, nearly 50,000 jobs and $2 billion in taxes, with average daily rate at 92 percent of pre-pandemic levels and forecast at 98 percent for 2026.
The air show publishes no attendance figure. Price the three afternoons from the citywide basis, and set the food and beverage push against the band series and the night market, which run past the 4:00 p.m. close of the flying display.
