Centara Ties CentaraThe1 Points to Plaza Premium Lounge Access

CentaraThe1 members can redeem stay points for Plaza Premium First and Plaza Premium Lounge access, and buy entry at a member rate at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. Centara puts the programme at nearly 9 million members.

Two ways a member gets into a lounge

Centara Hotels & Resorts has tied its CentaraThe1 loyalty programme to Plaza Premium Group. Centara published the partnership on its own site on 17 September 2026, and Travel Daily reported it on 18 September 2026. Members get two separate routes into Plaza Premium's airport lounges.

The first route is redemption. Members convert points earned from hotel stays into access at participating Plaza Premium First and Plaza Premium Lounge locations.

The second route is purchase. Members buy entry at CentaraThe1 member rates at the Plaza Premium Lounge at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Centara puts CentaraThe1 at nearly 9 million members worldwide. That count is the scale the deal is written against.

The redemption terms as published

The points come from stays. The release ties the benefit to the points a stay earns, and names no second earning source for lounge entry.

The release names the lounge network by region: Asia, Mainland China, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Oceania. It names both tiers, Plaza Premium First and Plaza Premium Lounge, as open to redemption.

No points price for a lounge visit is published. The release states no cap, no minimum stay and no qualifying rate. CentaraThe1's own site serves a redemption line for stay vouchers, merchandise and experiences, and the lounge line sits outside the server-rendered text, so the catalogue is not readable from the page source.

Reciprocal privileges, both directions

The release states that members of both loyalty programmes receive reciprocal privileges. It describes those as discounts and selected benefits across participating Centara hotels and resorts, and across Plaza Premium Lounge services. CentaraThe1 members reach the Plaza Premium network, and Plaza Premium members reach participating Centara properties.

The lounge the member rate applies to

Plaza Premium Group opened the Suvarnabhumi lounge on 1 September 2026. Both facilities sit airside on the third floor of Concourse G, near Gate G1.

Plaza Premium First spans 212 square metres and seats up to 51 guests. Plaza Premium Lounge covers 578 square metres with capacity for 98 guests. Entry to both is open to all travellers regardless of airline or class of travel, so the CentaraThe1 rate prices a lounge any traveller can already buy into.

Plaza Premium First began in Hong Kong in 2018 and now runs flagships in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Macau, Vancouver, Phnom Penh, Rome and Dallas Fort Worth. Plaza Premium Lounge held the Skytrax award for the world's best independent airport lounge for nine consecutive years, 2016 to 2025, and the group took the world's best airport lounge group title at the 2026 Skytrax awards.

Neither party published a rate for the CentaraThe1 member price at Suvarnabhumi.

How the two companies frame it

Claudio Roscigno, Executive Vice President of Commercial at Centara Hotels & Resorts, said loyalty sits at the centre of the group's commercial strategy. He said Centara is building CentaraThe1 into a broader travel and lifestyle ecosystem through partnerships that extend past its own hotels and resorts.

Pannarat Tantrativud, Assistant Vice President of CRM and Customer Service at Centara, said the group's partner portfolio spans banks, credit card providers, airlines, and travel and lifestyle brands. She described the lounge access as another way for members to spend the points their stays earn.

Wu WeiQiang, Area General Manager at Plaza Premium Group, said the group will welcome CentaraThe1 members at its airport facilities in Thailand and across its international network. He said the arrangement creates reciprocal privileges for members of both programmes.

What the release leaves open

Three terms a member would ask about are absent. The points cost per lounge visit is unpublished. The member rate at Suvarnabhumi is unpublished. The date the redemption opens is unpublished.

The release directs members to centara1card.com for the privileges and to plazapremiumlounge.com for Plaza Premium Group. Travel Daily lists the regions as Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Canada and Oceania, which is the same set the release names, grouped differently.
