Residence Inn by Marriott Breckenridge completed a renovation of its suites, lobby, common areas, dining spaces and the areas around its outdoor pool and hot tub. Hotel News Resource carried the property's release on September 17, 2026.
General Manager Stephen Policare dated the work to this summer in the release. "We are excited to welcome guests to a completely refreshed property following the completion of our renovation this summer," Policare said. The release publishes no other completion date.
What the Release Covers
The release names four areas of work. They are the suites, the lobby and common areas, the dining spaces that serve the complimentary breakfast, and the outdoor pool and hot tub areas. The design language is a mountain-inspired aesthetic in a residential style.
The lobby and common areas reopened with updated furnishings, finishes and gathering areas. The dining areas were refreshed for the breakfast service and for use through the day. Base Camp Lounge serves light dining from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and specialty cocktails nightly.
The Product Behind the Refresh
The hotel opened on December 15, 2016 with 129 suites, as a Marriott franchise owned by Triumph Development and managed by Urgo Hotels of Bethesda, Maryland. A joint venture of Urgo Hotels & Resorts and Triumph Development, LLC developed and owns the property, and Urgo manages it.
The opening material described studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites, each with a fully equipped kitchen, a sofa bed and separate living and sleeping areas. The same record lists 1,500 square feet of flexible meeting space with a ballroom that holds up to 150 people, a year-round outdoor pool and hot tub, complimentary parking and an around-town shuttle, complimentary ski storage, a fitness centre and no resort fee.
Urgo's vice president of development, Mathew Jalazo, described the property at opening as the first Marriott-branded hotel in Breckenridge and the market's first new hotel in over two decades.
What an Operator Takes From It
The 2026 release publishes no project cost, no designer, no contractor, no suite count and no meeting-space figure. The 1,500-square-foot meeting space and the 129 suites are 2016 figures, and a planner quoting them is quoting the opening record.
A general manager planning a comparable refresh can price the work from the release's scope. The piece names four areas and no structural change. Ten years separates the opening from the refresh, and the release dates the finish to the summer before the ski season.
