Two Midweek Nights in January
Dot Foods, Inc. holds its national business meeting at the Indiana Convention Center from Wednesday 27 January to Friday 29 January 2027. The venue forecasts 2,000 attendees on its event page, which names the Indiana Convention Center at 100 South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46225.
Dot Foods describes itself as a food redistributor. Its site states the company has been family-owned and operated for more than 65 years, that co-founder Dorothy Tracy gave it its name, and that the third generation of the Tracy family carries it on. Its home page describes weekly multi-temperature deliveries across all channels of the food industry.
The organiser publishes nothing else about the meeting. The venue page's body paragraph reads 2026 while its title block, meta description, og:description and JSON-LD event node read 2027. The structured fields carry the year, and the meeting runs 27 to 29 January 2027.
Two Nights, Then a Friday Turn
The block gives a downtown hotel two nights, the Wednesday and the Thursday, with checkout on Friday 29 January. The venue publishes no doors time. Its page reads "Doors Open: Check event website", and the link behind that line is empty. Plan the arrival curve off the two-night stay itself.
Friday 29 January carries the front desk load. The venue's Facility Guide sets one clock a planner can work backwards from. The initial room setup is included with room rental when the event specifications reach the Event Coordinator at least 25 days before the event's first move-in day. It puts downtown occupancy at 64.7 percent against a U.S. average of 62.4 percent, ADR at $209.11, up 12 percent year over year, and RevPAR at $135.20, up 13 percent, on 8.1 million room nights of demand in the 12 months to mid-2025. That count sits more than 580,000 above the market's pre-COVID peak.
Staffing the Building
The venue's Facility Guide states a staffing trigger that this meeting meets exactly: medical personnel are required if 2,000 or more attendees are anticipated. First-aid facilities are serviced by IU Health Services, and staffing charges run through the Event Coordinator. A 2,000-forecast corporate meeting therefore carries a contracted medical line.

CBRE Hotels Research gives the cost frame for that side of the house. Labor is the largest line in a hotel food and beverage department at 59.4 percent of department expenses, against 24.0 percent for cost of goods sold and 16.6 percent for other expenses. Labor expenses rose 2.1 percent in 2025 while the other category rose 17.3 percent, and banquet revenue at convention hotels fell 7.3 percent in the first half of 2025. Those figures cover 2,669 U.S. full-service, resort and convention hotels, with the current read taken from monthly statements at 866 properties.
