What arrives in Downtown Brooklyn on 27 September
The Brooklyn Book Festival runs September 20 to 28, 2026. Festival Day and the Literary Marketplace fill Brooklyn Borough Hall and the surrounding blocks on Sunday, September 27, from 10am to 6pm. The festival places eight indoor and outdoor stages at Brooklyn Borough Hall, Brooklyn Law School, the Center for Brooklyn History, St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church, Columbus Park and Korean War Veteran's Park.
Children's Day runs Saturday, September 26, from 10am to 4pm at Brooklyn Borough Hall and Plaza, 209 Joralemon Street. Bookend events run September 20-28 at locations in all five boroughs. The Virtual Festival Day streams September 20 from 12pm to 5pm.
The organizer calls the festival New York City's largest free literary festival. It launched in 2006 as a one-day event. Festival Day now carries 300 authors and a Literary Marketplace with 250 independent and major publishers. The festival presents Festival Day, the Virtual Festival Day and Children's Day free of charge.
Code the demand as leisure
Free entry brings no booking list and no group contract. The volume arrives by transit, on the day, from people who decided that morning.
