World of Hyatt ended its new-hotel promotion on 1 October 2026. The earlier offer paid 500 bonus points a night at properties new to the program. The replacement pays double points on one rate, the New Hotel Member Bonus Offer rate.
The published terms
The offer pays 2X World of Hyatt points on every US dollar spent on eligible rates and on eligible incidental charges. A stay earns standard base points plus an equal number of bonus points. The bonus is capped at 25,000 points for a qualifying stay. Consecutive nights at one hotel on the qualifying rate count as one stay.
Five base points per US dollar of spend puts the 25,000-point ceiling at USD 5,000 inside one stay.
Eligible incidental charges cover resort or destination fees, spa, food, beverage and lounge spend. Group and convention rates, packages, other promotional offers and special rate programs do not qualify. The rate cannot be combined with a AAA rate, a Hyatt Prive rate or a credit card portal booking. Registration is not required.
Members and rooms outside the offer
A member who elects partner loyalty points in place of World of Hyatt points earns neither base points nor bonus points. Award stays and free night certificates earn nothing on the offer. The account must be in good standing at the time of the stay. Up to three rooms qualify on one stay, and the member’s own room counts toward the three. The membership number is required at booking and at the stay; a member can register the number at the front desk.
The stay window and the room supply
Hyatt’s published list names the participating properties, and AwardWallet counts 64 entries on it. A limited number of rooms at each property carries the rate. Promotional blackout periods can apply, so a member will not see the rate for every stay at a participating hotel. Properties can join or leave the list, and the promotional dates can move.
The terms state a posting window of two to four weeks after checkout.
What the change asks of a hotel team
Each property sets the rooms that carry the rate and the dates that carry it. A revenue team that wants the offer to sell loads those rooms and dates before the window opens.
The rate also changes the booking conversation. A guest booked on a flexible or negotiated rate at a new property earns no part of the bonus. A desk agent who knows the rate name can move the booking onto it. A one-night stay at a discount price does not reach the ceiling, so the offer pays on long, expensive stays.
