Jeff Jamieson published a review of W Macau - Studio City on Frugal Flyer on 14 October 2026, from two nights at the property. Its modified stamp reads 21 August 2026. W Macau sits inside the Studio City complex on the Cotai Strip. Studio City’s own hotels page lists three towers, Celebrity, Star and Epic, at 1,936 rooms and suites, and gives W Macau 557 guest rooms with city or Cotai views. The review reports a 2023 opening.
The rate the review prints, and the arithmetic
The review states the stay ran at “the standard nightly rate, which came to 2,546 MOP, or around CA$218 per night.” The same paragraph puts most nights at 1,800 to 2,000 MOP. A 2,546 MOP nightly rate would sit above that range, and the review places its own rate at the lower end of the property’s band. Read as a two-night total, 2,546 MOP divides to 1,273 MOP a night, which sits below the range the review prints.
Converted at 5.71923 MOP to the Canadian dollar on 19 October 2026, the stay total is CAD 445 and the night is CAD 223. The review’s CA$218 a night implies 1,247 MOP, about CAD 436 for the two nights. The review names a standard rate and no booking channel.
Titanium recognition and the amenity election
The front desk acknowledged Titanium Elite status and offered a choice of breakfast or 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. The reviewer took the breakfast. The same page heads that section “Hawker Hawker - Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite Complimentary Breakfast,” which names a tier below the one the body reports. Both readings sit on one page.
The election answers the question a front office asks. At Titanium, on a paid stay, this guest priced the buffet above 1,000 points.
Breakfast and the four hotel venues
The buffet spans Chinese, Japanese, Korean, North American and Macau dishes, with seafood, lobster laksa, a build-your-own soup station and an ice cream counter. Four venues carry the W Macau name: Living Room, Hawker Hawker, DIVA and Blind Tiger. The review states that these are the only dining venues affiliated with the hotel.
Studio City’s W Macau page describes four formats in the same order, an all-day restaurant, an all-day coffee and cocktail bar, a Cantonese specialty restaurant and a destination bar. The page names Living Room in its bars block and carries the other three in its source. The review puts Studio City’s own count above 50 food and beverage establishments across the complex.
The room against the published category table
The review was assigned a Spectacular Twin City View Guest Room, with two twin beds, a sitting area by full-height windows and a view over The Parisian Macao. The property page publishes the Spectacular Room at 51 to 59 sqm with a king bed or two double beds. The review reports two twin beds. Bed configuration sits in the booking path, and the two pages describe it differently.
The published table runs from the Wonderful Room at 37 to 49 sqm to the Marvelous Suite at 100 to 112 sqm. The Mega Room measures about 56 sqm with a 146 sqm terrace. The Cool Corner Room runs 55 to 64 sqm. The Studio Suite, a junior suite, runs 64 to 72 sqm. The Fabulous Suite measures 85 sqm with a 64 sqm terrace, the Fantastic Suite 85 to 99 sqm.
Two product gaps the review names
The bathroom carries one vanity, a freestanding tub, a walk-in shower with a bench and a rainfall head, and a separate toilet chamber. The reviewer finds the single vanity surprising given the space. The property publishes a powder room on the Fabulous, Fantastic and Marvelous suites, and no second sink on the tiers below them.
The connectivity panel between the beds carries two universal outlets, two USB-A ports and the room lighting control. The reviewer asks for USB-C. The minibar ladder reads 28 MOP (CA$4.80) for snacks, 58 MOP (CA$10) for sodas and 88 MOP (CA$15) for beers.
The arrival estimate and the delivery
The party reached the desk before 10:00 AM and was told the room would likely be ready around 2:00 PM. It was ready when they returned around 1:00 PM. The estimate and the delivery differ by an hour.
Facilities and the service day
The gym opens around the clock, with Technogym cardio machines, free weights, strength machines and a multifunction station. The indoor pool runs 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Its deck holds about six loungers on one side and four daybeds on the other, ten seats against 557 rooms. The reviewer reports the pool never filled across the stay. A steam room, a sauna, a hot tub and cold plunge pools sit in the pool area. AWAY Spa runs 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
Position on the strip and access
The airport shuttle runs about 10 minutes. Self-parking on site comes complimentary for hotel guests. The review states the hotel is not close to the historic centre, which sits across the water on the Macau Peninsula.
What an operator can use
Four items carry a commercial read. A rate quoted as a stay total needs dividing before it prices a night. An amenity election at Titanium tells a front office which of its two offers the guest values. A bed configuration published as two doubles arrives in a review as two twins. A single vanity sits in a 51 to 59 sqm room while the suite tiers above it publish a powder room.
The room count, the tower count, the room sizes and the venue formats come from Studio City’s own pages. The rate arithmetic uses the exchange rate at 19 October 2026. Everything about the two nights is the reviewer’s own account.
