Preferred Hotels & Resorts is paying I Prefer members double base points on stays that qualify under its double-points offer. The booking window closes on Oct. 31, 2026. The stay window closes on Dec. 31, 2026.
Registration comes before the booking
Four terms decide which stays earn. The member registers and books between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31, 2026. The stay runs at least two nights. A stay completed before the member registers does not qualify. A reservation made before the promotion period does not qualify, even when the stay dates fall inside it.
The order follows from those clauses. A September booking for a December arrival sits outside the offer. A member who registers in November cannot claim a stay already completed.
Ten points a dollar becomes twenty
The programme pays ten base points for each US dollar of Reservation Revenue. Doubling the rate puts the offer at twenty points a dollar.
Reservation Revenue excludes taxes, service charges and gratuities. A US$250 room bill earns 2,500 points at the standard rate and 5,000 under the offer.
The participating list is the one to price against
The terms limit earning to participating hotels. The brand describes the set as select hotels and resorts, more than 700 in total, and the offer page carries the current list.
Nineteen UK properties appear on the list, and the count matches the nineteen UK hotel pages in the programme's own sitemap at iprefer.com.
London accounts for thirteen of the nineteen: Virgin Hotels London Shoreditch, The Beaumont in Mayfair, The Bentley in South Kensington, Grosvenor House Suites in Mayfair, The Guardsman in Westminster, The Londoner in Leicester Square, The Mandeville in Marylebone, Middle Eight in Covent Garden, The Newman in Fitzrovia, The Pelham in Knightsbridge, Royal Lancaster London, South Place in the City and The Stafford in Mayfair.
The other six sit outside the capital: Virgin Hotels Edinburgh, The Grand in York, Sopwell House in St Albans, Swinton Park in North Yorkshire, the Old Course Hotel in St Andrews and The Fitzwilliam Hotel in Belfast.
What the points convert to
Redemption runs through Reward Certificates against a reward chart the programme keeps behind the member sign-in. No public page carries the tiers.
Head for Points, which reported the offer on Oct. 14, 2026, prints one tier: just under 16,000 points for a £25 gift voucher. At twenty points a dollar, that tier needs US$800 of room revenue, about £600 at the Oct. 16, 2026 rate of GBP/USD 1.3335.
The same outlet prices the tier at around £800 including VAT. The programme's own definition of Reservation Revenue excludes taxes, so VAT cannot earn points.
