A Nightlife Venue Inside a Resort Tower
Vinyl Room opened on Saturday 8 August 2026 on the 63rd floor of Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino at 3950 South Las Vegas Boulevard. Live Nation and MGM Resorts built the venue together. Live Nation announced the opening in a release dated 11 August 2026.
The venue holds 15,000 square feet in the space the Foundation Room previously occupied. A hotel operator reading it gets a resort nightlife outlet with its own programming calendar, its own kitchen and its own membership arm.
Three Rooms and the Speeds They Carry
Live Nation divides the floor into the 78 Lounge, the 45 Dining Room and the 33 Members Room. The numbers are three vinyl playback speeds. The 78 Lounge carries cocktails and DJ programming. The 45 Dining Room carries the menu, and the 33 Members Room sits behind membership.
The Programming Calendar
Sunset Sessions run daily from 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays belong to Disco's Revenge. Tuesdays belong to Pura Vida, which runs on reggaeton, Latin pop, salsa and bachata. The venue's events calendar lists Rewind Wednesday, Hype Night, Sunday Service and Social Frequency alongside them.
Kurt Melien, president of Live Nation Las Vegas, is on the record for the programming. The venue opens seven days a week from 3 p.m. to close and takes reservations through OpenTable.
Private bookings sit beside the nightly calendar. The venue's own site lists corporate gatherings and brand activations among its bookable events.
The Kitchen and the Bar
Andy Yates, Live Nation's head of food and beverage, built the menu. It carries Sushi Tots, Chili Crunch Chicken Wings, King Crab Head Dumplings and a 42-ounce Wagyu Tomahawk Steak.
The bar names its cocktails after songs. Strawberry Moon mixes El Tesoro Reposado tequila with strawberry and gochujang. House of the Rising Sun mixes Haku vodka and Junmai sake. Superfly mixes Roku gin, lemon, yuzu and sencha, and also comes as a zero-proof serve.
The Room Around the Sound
Blueprint Studio designed the interior. Its president, David Codiga, describes the project as a listening room built after the Japanese hi-fi lounges of the 1970s.
The audio system runs MasterSounds Clarity-M speakers, which Eater Las Vegas listed on 25 August 2026. A wheatpaste poster wall by Memphis papermaker Colleen Couch covers decades of Las Vegas performances.
The floor carries a record collection that Live Nation counts as nearly 5,000 and that Eater Las Vegas counted above 4,700.
Membership and the Floor Label
Membership is optional. It carries the private room, concierge service, members-only events and credits toward Las Vegas concert tickets. Eater Las Vegas reported on 25 August 2026 that membership starts at $2,500.
Live Nation and MGM place the venue on the 63rd floor. Casino.org reported on 10 August 2026 that Mandalay Bay's tower holds 43 physical floors and that the numbering skips floors 40 to 59. The roof levels carry the labels 60 to 63.
The Operator Questions the Record Leaves Open
Live Nation and MGM published no construction cost and no fit-out budget for the build. No release read for this article carries a capacity figure for the three rooms. The membership price rests on Eater Las Vegas alone.
