The offer and its window
Downtown Vancouver hotels are running a prepaid Mastercard offer again. The Stay Vancouver promotion gives a card worth $150, $200, $225 or $250 with a two-night stay booked at StayVancouverHotels.com under the code "PrepaidCard". The stay must fall between 29 October 2026 and 28 February 2027.
Each hotel publishes its own tier
The offer terms state the two-night stay “qualifies for a total of $150, $200, $225, or $250 in a Prepaid Mastercard, depending upon the hotel booked”. The terms print no currency code. The portal processes its bookings in Canadian dollars.
The portal's own booking links name the tier each property carries. The $250 tier covers 11 hotels, among them the Fairmont Pacific Rim, the Fairmont Waterfront, the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, the Pan Pacific Vancouver, Paradox Vancouver, Rosewood Hotel Georgia, the DOUGLAS Autograph Collection and Wedgewood Hotel and Spa. Eight hotels carry $225, including the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, the Westin Bayshore Vancouver and the Granville Island Hotel. Thirteen carry $200 and twelve carry $150.
Forty-four hotels
The Vancouver Hotel Destination Association runs the portal on behalf of its 44 member hotels. Cards are provided at check-in. The card carries an expiry date and fees may follow an inactive period, and the terms recommend using it within 30 days of receipt.
The booking cap
The terms cap bookings at three per guest and state that any bookings made after three will be cancelled. Consecutive nights booked as separate reservations are treated the same as a single reservation for multiple nights. A longer trip split across hotels collects more than one card. Prince of Travel put three back-to-back two-night stays at $250 hotels at $750 in cards across six nights, with a hotel change for each pair of nights.
The card against the room bill
Prince of Travel reports that check-in staff in past editions typically asked guests whether they would skip the physical card and use the amount to offset the room charge.
Prince of Travel worked the card against rates for the coming weeks. It put the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver at around $433 plus tax a night for a midweek stay in mid-November. After the $250 card the two-night net comes to $308 plus tax a night. It put the Fairmont Waterfront at $323 plus tax a night in early November with the same $250 card, which brings the nightly cost to $198 plus tax. The Fairmont Pacific Rim ranged from $473 to $1,209 a night across the midweek dates the article checked.
Points and elite nights
Prince of Travel states the Stay Vancouver, Visit Richmond and Edmonton's Best Hotels promotions typically do not count as a third-party travel agency. Those portals take the booking and then book directly with the hotel. A guest can email the hotel to add a membership number to the file, and Prince of Travel states the booking then appears in the loyalty programme's upcoming trips list with points, elite qualifying nights, promotions and elite benefits following.
Cancellations, payment and age
The terms tell guests to review the cancellation policy for the property and rate they book, because some rates allow no cancellation. Payment is by VISA, Mastercard or American Express. Guests must be 19 or over. The hotels and StayVancouverHotels are not obligated to replace lost, damaged or stolen cards. The offer is limited and may end at any time, and the offer terms supersede individual hotel policies.
The window in front of the desk
The card is a fixed amount against a two-night booking, and the tier is set by property. A hotel on the $250 tier offsets $125 a night inside the offer window. A hotel on the $150 tier offsets $75 a night.
The cap of three bookings per guest limits how much of one stay the promotion can cover. Consecutive nights booked separately count as one reservation, so a guest chasing a second card has to change property.
The offer runs to 28 February 2027. Seven other codes share the same booking engine, among them TimHortons, Uber, GasCard, AmazonCard and StarbucksCard to 31 August 2027, and Flyover and CycleCity to 31 July 2027.
