Two Host Venues Carry the Analytics Meeting
The INFORMS Annual Meeting 2026 runs 1 to 4 November in San Francisco. The organiser lists Moscone Center South at 747 Howard Street and the San Francisco Marriott Marquis at 780 Mission Street. The Moscone Center event page lists the meeting at Moscone South.
The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences expects more than 6,000 members, students, prospective employers and employees, and academic and industry experts. Regular pricing is open, and early pricing closed on 2 September 2026.
The Housing Block Closed on 8 October
The housing block names the San Francisco Marriott Marquis at 780 Mission Street and the InterContinental San Francisco at 888 Howard Street. INFORMS publishes the cut-off date as 8 October 2026 and states that rooms are available until sold out or that date. The portal's own event record runs from 1 November to 4 November.
Block rooms are held for meeting registrants. The organiser states that it reviews the reservation list and cancels duplicate bookings and bookings held without a corresponding registration. The portal's support note asks guests who booked inside the block to wait for their hotel confirmation and then contact the hotel directly to change or cancel.
Arrivals Land on Saturday and Sunday
Saturday 31 October carries the pre-conference day. Self check-in and registration open at 7 a.m. The Combined Colloquia, the Data Science workshop and the Data Mining and Decision Analytics workshop each run 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and exhibitor workshops start at 10:30 a.m.
Sunday registration runs 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Welcome Reception and Communities Fair run 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and the Awards Ceremony runs 7:45 to 9 p.m. Community business meetings and receptions run to 8:45 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and the Closing Plenary ends at noon on Wednesday 4 November. Coffee breaks run once in the morning and once in the afternoon across the three full days.
A delegate attending the Saturday pre-conference day books from 31 October. The housing window itself runs 1 November to 4 November.
The Published Route Outside the Block
The housing portal now carries an Additional Nearby Hotels section for the meeting nights. Its own note states that those reservations sit outside the group, that they are not eligible for the INFORMS group rate, and that pricing and terms may differ from the block.
A search for 1 to 5 November returned 16 properties in that section on 15 October 2026. The list printed From rates of $187 at The Westin St Francis to $701 at The St Regis San Francisco. The InterContinental San Francisco appeared at $686, the Palace Hotel at $439 and the Clancy at $265. The Marriott Marquis appeared nowhere in the results.
Questions for Revenue Managers
The cut-off passed seven days before this report. Reservations teams now work two populations of delegate. The first holds a block confirmation. The second books at posted rates through the out-of-block list, where the portal routes new demand.
Two counts settle the week. Count the delegate nights inside the contracted block. Count the delegate nights that arrive through the open market. The difference between them is the open-market demand those four nights carry.
Two clocks shape the arrival curve. The block's own change window closed on 8 October, so after that date the property handles every modification and cancellation directly. United Airlines publishes a meeting discount valid for travel starting 30 October. Southwest publishes a discount valid for travel from 29 October to 7 November into San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose.
The front desk load concentrates on two days. Saturday 31 October carries pre-conference arrivals. Sunday 1 November carries the body of the meeting, with registration open for twelve and a half hours and the Welcome Reception closing at 8:30 p.m.
