Portland LEARN Caps at 2,500 With an Oct. 26 Rate Fence

ZERO TO THREE LEARN runs Oct 27-29 at the Oregon Convention Center with a 2,500 cap, a four-rung rate ladder and no hotel block behind it.

A cap and a fence in the same week

ZERO TO THREE brings its 2026 LEARN Conference to Hall A of the Oregon Convention Center for three days in late October. The organiser's FAQ fixes the size at 2,500: "Space is limited to 2,500, so we recommend registering as soon as possible to secure your spot!" The same site carries a four-rung registration ladder, and the last rung opens on the morning the conference starts.

First Look rates ran through 10 May at $400 for members and $500 for regular registrations. The Early Bird rung, 11 May to 2 August, set $450 and $550. Standard ran from 3 August and closes 26 October at $550 and $650. Onsite runs 27 to 29 October at $580 and $680.

Each rung costs more than the last. The August rung added $100 to each tier. The October rung adds $30, which is 5.45 percent of the member rate and 4.62 percent of the regular rate. A buyer who waits for the onsite rung takes the smallest step in the ladder.

Two dates for one booking

Two published pages date this booking, and both are current. The Oregon Convention Center event page heads it "October 28 to 29" in Hall A, and its structured data carries a 28 October 06:00 start and a 29 October 23:59 end. The venue's October calendar lists the same pair. The organiser dates the conference 27 to 29 October, and its onsite rung runs 27 to 29 October. The venue books the two show days in Hall A. The Tuesday belongs to the organiser, which runs its pre-conference day and opening reception.

What the Tuesday holds

Tuesday registration runs 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and pauses from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pre-conference forums run 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and sell as a $245 add-on with a networking lunch and 5 contact hours. The HealthySteps Symposium runs 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is limited to HealthySteps affiliates. A screening of Sankofa runs 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. for all attendees. The opening reception, billed as a Llama Pajama Party, runs 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

The nights the clocks require

Each night follows from a published start or finish, so the stay counts off the schedule.

A forum buyer sits down at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, which puts the Monday night first. The reception ends at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and holds the Tuesday night. Wednesday registration runs 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and holds the Wednesday night. The last Thursday session is the 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. keynote, the conference adjourns at 5:00 p.m., and the Thursday night becomes a choice with a Friday checkout behind it.

Three nights for a forum buyer, four with the Thursday. A buyer on the core programme arrives for the 4:00 p.m. Tuesday screening and needs two nights, or three with the Thursday. The Tuesday reception adds a night to a core stay at no charge.

What else stands in the building

The venue's October calendar lists four events. The Functional Fabric Fair runs 27 and 28 October in Halls B-C-D-E, across the conference's first two days. CANVAS 2026 opens 30 October across Halls A1-B-C and runs to 4 November, one day after LEARN adjourns. The Oregon Podiatric Medical Association took Room F150-151 from 22 to 24 October.

The garage holds 800 spaces at $15 for up to 18 hours with no in-and-out, and the venue charges $15 to $25 at entry on event days. It generally opens at 6:00 a.m., and the venue states it can reach capacity on days with busy event schedules. The venue's own directions page puts Portland International Airport eight miles out, with MAX light rail, the Portland Streetcar and bus routes at the door.

The room sits outside the ticket

No room block stands behind this conference. The organiser's FAQ reads that discounted hotel rates are "available on a first-come, first-served basis for registered attendees." The Hotels and Attractions page states that its blocks "are no longer available" and that the properties it lists hold "no reserved rooms or negotiated rates."

That page names seven properties with distances. Courtyard by Marriott Portland Downtown/Convention Center sits 0.3 miles out, Crowne Plaza Portland-Downtown Convention Center 0.4 miles, and Jupiter NEXT 0.6 miles, all on foot. Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown, Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland, Hampton Inn & Suites Portland-Pearl District and Moxy Portland Downtown sit downtown within a short rail ride or drive.

The page also warns that unaffiliated third parties are calling attendees with hotel offers.

What the desk gets asked

Three nights carry the demand: Monday for a forum buyer, Tuesday for the reception, Wednesday for the full programme. A Thursday night arrives as an upgrade question, with a Friday checkout behind it.

The fence sits at 26 October. Registration on the standard rung closes that day, and the onsite rung that opens 27 October costs $30 more. Every attendee books at the property's own rate, so the rate question reaches the desk unfiltered.

Meals sit outside the ticket. The organiser provides coffee and light refreshments, and attendees buy lunch in the exhibit hall each day. The forum's networking lunch comes inside the $245.

Two terms shape the answers the desk gives. A registration transfers to another person at any time by email, at no stated charge. A cancellation carries a $75 transaction fee, and the organiser processes no refund requests after 15 September 2026. That date fell 42 days before the Tuesday open, so a registration bought this week transfers.
