The Clock the Desk Prices
The Oddities & Curiosities Expo runs Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026 in Halls C-D-E at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Doors run 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. That is seven hours a day and fourteen across the weekend.
The organiser's FAQ prints that clock once for the whole tour. The venue's event page carries the dates, the halls and the street address. A desk that writes the close into a rate fence takes the hour from the organiser's page.
Arrival Night Picks the Show Day
The door sells day-of tickets at $20, in cash or by card. Children 12 and under enter free and hold no ticket. A ticket stays valid until scanned, works on either day, and covers one day only.
The rule sorts arrivals. Friday night buys Saturday. Saturday night buys Sunday. A Sunday night buys no show hours, because the doors shut at 5 p.m. and the building opens nothing on Monday.
Two Bookings Share Saturday
The venue's November calendar lists nine bookings. On 7 November it lists two: this expo in Halls C-D-E and the NW Martial Arts Festival 2026 in Hall A. On 8 November it lists the expo alone. Friday 6 November carries the 2027 HBA Housing Forecast Breakfast in Portland Ballroom 251-252-253-258.
Two events share one garage on the Saturday. The venue states that the garage can reach capacity on busy days and that availability runs first come, first served.
The Garage Both Shows Share
The underground garage holds 800 spaces. The published rate is $15 for up to 18 hours with no in-and-out privileges, and a dynamic $15 to $25 applies at entry on event days. The garage generally opens at 6:00 a.m. Overnight parking is prohibited.
A guest who drives out at midday and returns in the afternoon pays a second entry. Two entries cost $30 at the standard rate and $50 at the dynamic ceiling.
Cash at the Door, Cards Inside
The venue takes cards and touchless payment only, across food and beverage, the parking garage, locker rentals and vending. The expo door takes cash and card, and the organiser reports that the large majority of vendors take both.
Five ATMs sit inside the building, at Pre-Function A, Pre-Function B, Pre-Function C, the South Ginkoberry Concourse and Pre-Function E. One reverse ATM sits in the MLK Lobby, down the short hallway to the left of the welcome desk. It converts cash into a Visa card, loads once, charges no fee and records no personal detail.
That single load sets the desk's line. A guest who converts $40 and spends it holds an empty card for the rest of the day.
The Locker Behind a Card
Locker rentals run through LocketGo at the MLK Lobby, the Holladay Lobby and the Ginkoberry Concourse. A reservation needs a mobile device and a credit card. A cash-only guest reaches the desk with a bag and no storage route.
A bag hold covers the gap, and the property sets the price. A morning checkout and a 5 p.m. finish leave that guest carrying a bag all day.
Class Times Behind the Ticket
Each class ticket includes admission to the floor. Taxidermy classes run 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sunset moth and the octopus wet specimen run 10 a.m. to noon. The scorpion habitat and the ratalope coffin run 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Students arrive 15 minutes early, so a taxidermy student reaches the hall at 9:45 a.m.
Room Supply at the Door
OpenStreetMap records name fifteen hotels within 1.2 km of the venue. Eight sit inside 645 m straight-line: Inn at the Convention Center at 420 NE Holladay on 225 m, Hyatt Regency at 375 NE Holladay on 242 m, Hotel Eastlund at 1021 NE Grand on 281 m, Quality Inn at 431 NE Multnomah on 424 m, Courtyard at 435 NE Wasco on 497 m, Crowne Plaza at 1441 NE 2nd on 595 m, Shilo Inn Rose Garden at 1506 NE 2nd on 609 m and DoubleTree at 1000 NE Multnomah on 645 m.
A guest inside that ring walks to the doors and leaves the garage question behind. The organiser publishes no room block and names no property.
Four Fields at Booking
The desk captures the arrival night, the show day the guest names, whether the party holds a class ticket, and whether the party arrives by car. Those four fields turn next year's date into a rate fence.
Attendance, vendor count and room supply carry no organiser figure, so rebooking cannot be sized from the source.
