950 Delegates Across Two Nights
The Midwest Multifamily Conference runs Thursday 15 and Friday 16 October 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center. The venue forecasts 950 attendees. The Indiana Apartment Association organises the event, and its listing runs from 7:30 a.m. Thursday 15 October to 5:00 p.m. Friday 16 October, Eastern.
950 is the venue’s figure. The organiser’s home page prints its own scale line: 3,000+ association attendees, 16 industry topics, 20 breakout sessions and 8+ hours of networking.
The Thursday Check-In Wave
Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at a desk outside Hall H, and badge collection and the first arrival wave land in one window ahead of the programme. Morning networking sessions run 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. in role-specific rooms. The opening keynote takes Sagamore Ballroom from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Four concurrent session rooms open at 10:15 a.m. and again at 11:30 a.m. Each block uses the same four sets: Rooms 233-235, Rooms 137-139, Rooms 231-232 and Rooms 140-141. Every one of those rooms seats 210 in theatre configuration in the venue’s capacity table.
Sagamore Ballroom returns for the 12:45 to 1:40 p.m. block. The trade show floor opens in Hall H from 1:45 to 5:00 p.m. A third concurrent set runs 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Furnaces North America moves out of Exhibit Hall B from 2:30 to 10:00 p.m. the same afternoon.
The Two Nights And What Each Covers
The programme puts two nights in play. The organiser reserved rooms at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, 350 W. Maryland Street, and its travel page states a final date of 14 September 2026 to reserve at the discounted rate.
A Wednesday 14 October arrival covers the 7:30 a.m. Thursday registration desk, and that pair checks out on the Friday. A Thursday and Friday pair covers the closing education block from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in Rooms 133-136 and the awards dinner from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. in the Marriott Ballroom on the second floor of the Marriott Downtown.
The registration plans price the difference. Plan A covers both days and the dinner at $662 for members and $858 for non-members. Plan B covers Thursday only at $417 and $534, and Plan E buys trade show floor access for one day at $66 and $98. Every plan closes 14 October at noon Eastern.
The plan spread maps the arrivals and departures. Single-day and floor-only registrations produce a same-day count inside the 950.
The Rate Grid For Two Nights
Three properties carry published group rates in that week. The Crowne Plaza Downtown Union Station lists $214 a night with its reduced-rate cut-off extended to Friday 25 September. The Hyatt Regency Indianapolis lists $229 a night with a reserve-by date of Friday 18 September. The Marriott Downtown lists $229 as the Furnaces North America host hotel with a booking deadline of 25 September. The Crowne Plaza and the Hyatt Regency both connect to the convention center through indoor walking tunnels.
The conference block publishes no rate. The organiser’s travel page states the 14 September discounted-rate deadline, and that date has passed.
Two citywide bases frame the same fortnight. Downtown Indy Alliance reported a $209.11 average daily rate and $135.20 RevPAR through CoStar and STR, on 64.7 per cent occupancy. Engine publishes $134 for October as its Indianapolis par rate, drawn from 1.2 million public rate observations.
950 delegates over two nights is 1,900 room nights. At the $209.11 downtown average that is $397,309. At the $134 par rate it is $254,600. Both figures assume every delegate stays both nights.
The Friday Turn And The Weekend Behind It
Friday opens with registration at 8:00 a.m. and networking from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Sagamore Ballroom takes the 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. block. Four concurrent rooms run 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and Sagamore returns from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The trade show floor runs 12:45 to 3:30 p.m. in Hall H. Two concurrent rooms run 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., and the closing education block takes Rooms 133-136 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.
Hall H carries 373 ten-foot booths in the venue’s capacity table, across 75,200 square feet with a 35-foot ceiling. The facility guide’s narrative puts the same hall at 401 booths. The organiser says more than 200 suppliers exhibit across the two days.
Friday departures return rooms to a weekend carrying its own business. Lucas Oil Stadium lists the Bands of America Super Regionals on 16 and 17 October and the Indianapolis Colts against the Tennessee Titans on 18 October. A Saturday morning checkout feeds that demand.
The Thursday night ahead of it is the compressed one. Three events sit on the venue’s schedule on 15 October: the Best Practices Expo at 1,200, Furnaces North America at 1,500 and the Midwest Multifamily Conference at 950. The three total 3,650, or 51.4 per cent of the venue’s 7,100 downtown rooms.
The block is closed and the discounted deadline has passed, so the room side of this group now runs on the open market against a Thursday at half the city’s room count and a Friday that hands inventory to a stadium weekend.
