Front desk plan for a 10 a.m. closure and a 2 p.m. banana drop

Coconut Grove closes its streets at 10 a.m. on 3 January 2027 for a parade that ends at 6 p.m. The front desk works four clocks, one bag answer and one rate fence.

Four clocks on one Sunday

The King Mango Strut runs on Sunday, 3 January 2027 through the streets of Coconut Grove. The organiser publishes the clock on its event page. Streets close at 10 a.m. The parade starts at 2 p.m. with the banana drop. It ends at 6 p.m., and entertainment on Commodore Plaza runs directly after.

The About page puts the crowd at over 10,000 onlookers, with hundreds of Strutters in the parade. The event page charges no admission.

A front desk plans around 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The 10 a.m. closure sets the arrival hour

A car that reaches the neighbourhood after 10 a.m. meets a closed route. The organiser lists six places to park. The Municipal Garage at Oak Avenue and Mary Street sits a block from the parade route. CocoWalk, Mayfair, Coconut Grove Playhouse, St. Stephens Episcopal Church and Coconut Grove Elementary School complete the list. The event page prices none of them.

The arrival hour goes on the confirmation. A guest who plans to reach the property before 10 a.m. books the night before, and the desk states the earliest hour it will hold a room.

Bags between checkout and 6 p.m.

The organiser publishes no luggage rule, so the desk owns this answer. Three answers cover the day. Hold the bag until 6:30 p.m. at no charge, and write it on the confirmation. Hold it for a stated fee, and name the fee in the same line. Send the guest to the car in the Oak Avenue garage, with the walking time printed on the key card.

A lobby full of paraders

Strutters march as units. The participate page charges no entry fee, requires no audition and asks for an application plus a signed waiver. The terms page requires every contingent to supply monitors who walk alongside the unit. Those monitors attend a mandatory orientation on the afternoon of the parade.

A unit that gathers in a lobby arrives with a call time the organiser does not publish. Placement comes from the organiser. Entries receive their parade order numbers before the day of the event, and the terms reserve the right to place participants in any order. A desk that promises a departure hour is guessing.

Print the route instead. The parade starts at the corner of Commodore Plaza and Main Highway, turns left onto Main Highway, turns left onto Grand Avenue at CocoWalk, and turns left again at Commodore Plaza.

The family, the dog and the bike

The event page recommends an adult with anyone under 16 and asks guests to leave pets at home. The Strut sells no alcohol. Bars and restaurants along the route pour at their own discretion. The terms page bars glass bottles, balloons filled with anything other than helium or air, and weapons along the route. Photographs and live streams are permitted.

Bike Coconut Grove runs free attended bicycle valet from noon to 5:30 p.m. in the courtyard of St. Stephen's church. Guests enter from the St. Stephen's parking lot on Main Highway. Noon sits two hours after the closure and two hours before the drop.

The rate fence for the Saturday night

Saturday, 2 January carries the closure. A guest who sleeps that night walks to the route. A guest who drives in on Sunday morning parks outside the closed streets before 10 a.m. or not at all.

Two instruments put the Saturday night to work. A two-night minimum on a Saturday arrival sells that night in a pair with the night the parade ends. A closed-to-departure restriction on Sunday holds a Saturday arrival through the parade. A non-refundable rate on either pair takes the cancellation out of the forecast.

Build the fence on the count the desk can defend. The organiser publishes an estimate of over 10,000 onlookers, with no cap, no ticket total and no attendance threshold. The forecast carries that estimate beside the hotel's own pickup.

The card at the desk

One printed card answers most of the questions. The closure at 10 a.m. The garage at Oak Avenue and Mary Street, a block from the route. The five further places the organiser lists. The bike valet from noon to 5:30 p.m. The 2 p.m. drop. The 6 p.m. end. The plaza entertainment after it.

Add the two lines the property owns, the checkout hour and the bag arrangement, and update both when either term changes.
