One midweek night
The Emerging Leaders Forum takes the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Ave, on Wednesday 7 October 2026. The venue publishes a forecast attendance of 220 and doors opening at 8:30 a.m. The organiser adjourns the forum at 4:45 p.m. A delegate from outside Indianapolis books the night of Tuesday 6 October.
Downtown holds 7,100 hotel rooms by the venue footer count. The facility guide puts the district total at 7,200. A 220-room pickup is 3.1 percent of the first count.
The week around the date
The venue calendar lists 16 events with dates from 22 September to 15 October. The Gas Machinery Conference runs 4 to 7 October and forecasts 900 attendees. The ISBA/IAPSS Annual Conference runs 5 to 6 October and forecasts 1,000. The FullScale Symposium and the American Dental Association Scientific Sessions both run 8 to 10 October, at 1,000 and 4,000.
7 October closes the Gas Machinery Conference. It follows the close of the ISBA/IAPSS conference. The Tuesday night sits between two forecast crowds of 900 and 1,000.
Days inside that window with no event on the calendar are 23 and 24 September, 2 and 3 October, and 11 October.
What the organiser publishes on rate
The Indiana Chamber publishes a lodging path and no block rate. The event page names the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis for the room reservation at corporate account ID 55737, subject to availability. No cut-off date appears.
Registration pricing is published. A single ticket runs $199 for members and $249 at list. A table of six runs $579 for members and $699 at list. Lunch alone runs $99 a head, or $479 for a table of six. A member table of six works out at $96.50 a seat.
The cancellation policy sits on the same page. Cancellations made no later than two weeks before the programme receive a full refund. After that date the organiser issues no cash refunds. Substitutions carry no restriction.
Reading the rate
Engine measures Indianapolis at $128 a night across 1.2 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. October averages $134, five percent above the city average. May peaks at $158 and February bottoms at $107, a 32 percent swing across the year.
Engine draws those figures from searches made 10 to 180 days before check-in. Engine's own reading is that the month of stay moves the number further than the booking lead time. Engine publishes no weekday split for Indianapolis, so a property pricing the Tuesday night sets that number itself.
The published block rates for the week's other large meeting, the Best Practices Expo, run $214 at Crowne Plaza Downtown Union Station and $229 at Hyatt Regency Indianapolis for those attendees.
The 6 a.m. floor at the desk
The skywalk reopens near 6:00 a.m. and locks down near 11:00 p.m. by the venue's published rule of thumb. The venue calls the window event-dependent. Registration and the continental breakfast both open at 8:30 a.m. The breakfast is the first food function of the day.
Two desk actions follow. Pre-key the Tuesday arrivals and release the mobile key before the guest arrives. Staff the desk from 6:00 a.m., because the skywalk is open and the guest is walking.
Sizing the meeting set
The venue assigns Meeting Rooms 231-239. The facility guide gives each room 1,785 sq ft, 210 theatre seats, 120 classroom seats, 80 banquet seats and a 15-foot ceiling. The nine rooms total 16,065 sq ft and 1,890 theatre seats.
Two hundred and twenty delegates across nine rooms average 24 people a room. The set carries 73 sq ft per attendee. A property bidding for the overflow needs one 210-seat room and two smaller rooms to cover the plenary and the breakouts.
The noon luncheon carries the day's centrepiece. The Jackson Lewis Emerging Leader of the Year Award is announced there, with remarks from the Indiana Chamber president and chief executive.

The block is one midweek night with no published rate and no published cut-off. The week around it fills on both sides. The walk-over opens at 6:00 a.m. and the first function starts at 8:30 a.m.
