A 650-Delegate Core Inside a Compressed Week
MAPP holds its 2026 Benchmarking and Best Practices Conference at the Indiana Convention Center from Tuesday September 29 to Thursday October 1. The venue lists Wabash Ballroom 1-3 and forecasts 650 attendees. Plastics Business describes three days of benchmarking, operational insight and peer-driven learning for leaders from plastics processing.
The delegate core is small and senior. The programme runs keynote presentations, peer-to-peer sessions, BC Labs and an Innovation Hall. Ten learning tracks cover Engineering/Automation, Executive Stakeholders/Owners, Finance/IT/ERP, Human Resources/Safety, Operations, Presidents/Senior Leaders, Procurement, Sales and Marketing, Senior Leaders and Tooling.
Three Events, Three Days, One Building
Two other events open on the same Tuesday. ATD Core4 and ATD OrgDev both run September 29 to October 1, each forecasting 1,000 attendees. The three events together forecast 2,650 attendees in one building across one three-day window.
The building also turns over at the front of that window. The Do it Best Corp. Fall Market closes its market floor at noon on Monday September 28 with 12,000 forecast attendees. The hotel block that serves MAPP fills as that market empties.
What the Delegate Mix Does to the Block
The room block sits at the Indianapolis Downtown Marriott, 350 W. Maryland. Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 rooms, and 4,700 of them connect to the Center by skywalk. Two hundred downtown restaurants sit within walking distance, and the airport is 15 minutes away.
Registration runs $1,038 for members, $1,264 for non-members and $950 for four or more. Those price points shape the room mix. A four-delegate discount brings small parties into the block and spreads arrivals across the booking window.
The Lunch and Learn is ticketed at $76. A ticketed lunch separates covers from the main delegate count, so the kitchen plans two cover figures against one service hour.
The Clock the House Runs On
The venue states that the closing and opening times for the facility and its skywalks are event-dependent, with a rule of thumb of lock-down around 11 p.m. and re-opening around 6 a.m. A skywalk-connected room carries the delegate to a 6 a.m. start.
The programme and the room set answer to the same published times. Confirm the session clock, the meal covers and the room resets with the organiser before the block is priced.

Three items sit on the hotel side of this block. The skywalk walk opens the delegate's day at 6 a.m. The ticketed lunch splits the covers at the same hour as the main programme. The room set has to land between the morning session and the afternoon one.
