What the organiser publishes
WaterSmart Innovations runs 21 to 23 October 2026, Wednesday to Friday, at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. The conference hotel is the DoubleTree by Hilton Portland.
The organiser puts the hotel half a mile from the convention centre. That is a 5 to 10 minute walk through the Lloyd District.
Wednesday carries registration from 7 a.m. and pre-conference workshops from 8 a.m. Thursday opens its general session at 8:30 a.m. and runs the exhibit hall from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a cocktail reception in the hall until 6:30. Friday starts sessions at 8:30 a.m. and ends the last professional session at 4:45 p.m.
Rooms remain on sale at the DoubleTree
The organiser's hotel section reads: Although the official room block deadline has passed, rooms are still available at the DoubleTree by Hilton Portland.
The booking link behind that line is a Hilton reservation page. It carries property code RLLC-DT, group code CDTWSI, an arrival of 20 October 2026 and a departure of 24 October 2026.
The organiser publishes no rate and no cut-off date. Both sit behind the booking flow.
Those four nights are the window to quote. They run Tuesday to Saturday, one day either side of the programme.
Quote four nights, Tuesday to Saturday
Book the conference dates alone and the first night is Wednesday. Registration opens at 7 a.m. that morning and the workshops start at 8 a.m. A guest who lands on Wednesday misses the start.
Tuesday 20 October is the first night. Thursday 22 October is the second, and the cocktail reception runs to 6:30 p.m. Friday 23 October is the third, and the last session ends at 4:45 p.m. Saturday 24 October is the departure date on the organiser’s own link.
Friday night needs a question at check-in. Friday’s programme finishes at 4:45 p.m., so a guest can leave that evening. The link’s Saturday departure keeps the night available.
A script the desk can use: You are booked for four nights, arriving Tuesday the twentieth and departing Saturday the twenty-fourth. The conference runs Wednesday to Friday, and Friday’s last session ends at 4:45. Would you like to keep the Friday night?
The MAX pass script
Guests staying at the DoubleTree Portland receive complimentary MAX Light Rail passes for the conference. The organiser states the pass covers travel between the hotel and the convention centre, travel throughout Portland during the stay, and the MAX Red Line to Portland International Airport at no cost.
Two lines on the organiser’s page print the system as MAC. The operator is TriMet and the service is MAX. Quote it as MAX to a guest.
The walk costs nothing. Half a mile, 5 to 10 minutes, through the Lloyd District. The train covers the same trip in about 5 minutes across one or two stops, with trains arriving every 15 minutes or less. The venue adds that MAX stops 300 times a day near its front door.
A guest who arrives without a pass pays $2.80 at the adult fare. TriMet caps the day at $5.60 and the calendar month at $100. Payment is a tap of a contactless bank card or a phone on the green Hop reader, and a Hop card is optional at the adult fare.
Answers the desk will need before Wednesday
Parking at the venue is underground and holds 800 spaces. The standard entry rate is $15 for up to 18 hours, with no in and out privilege. Event entry runs a dynamic $15 to $25. The garage opens at 6 a.m., and overnight parking is prohibited.
The venue is cashless. Drive-through parking booths take credit and debit cards and touchless payment only.
Registration stays open online through the week. Onsite registration sits in the Lobby of Exhibit Hall A, and that is the address for an unregistered guest.
Three mornings to staff
Wednesday 21 October is the early peak. Registration opens at 7 a.m. and workshops start at 8 a.m., so set the desk, the coffee and the queue for 6:30 a.m.
Thursday 22 October opens the general session at 8:30 a.m. Set breakfast for 7 a.m. and hold the MAX directions for guests who leave at 8 a.m.
Friday 23 October carries the last sessions and the first departures. Hold luggage, confirm the checkout hour in writing, and keep the pass answer ready: the same pass reaches the Red Line.
What the desk can promise
Four nights, one property, one published window, and a pass that covers the airport run. The organiser has published the clocks, the walk and the pass. The rate sits behind the booking flow, so the desk quotes what the link returns.
