Finnair Plus and Radisson Rewards launched a partnership in August 2026. Traveling For Miles reported it on 17 September 2026 and set out how the two programmes connect.
The arrangement has three parts. Finnair Plus members can match to Radisson Rewards elite status. Radisson Rewards points convert to Finnair Plus Avios. Avios convert to Radisson Rewards points.
The status match runs in one direction, from Finnair Plus to Radisson Rewards. Every active member of both programmes is eligible. A member links the two accounts on the Finnair Shop Radisson page, using the 16-digit Radisson Rewards number and the Finnair Plus membership number.
The name on both accounts must match. Radisson Rewards names cannot be changed online, so a member who needs an update has to call Radisson customer service.
The tier mapping
Finnair Plus Silver and Gold members match to Radisson Rewards Premium. Finnair Plus Platinum and Platinum Lumo members match to Radisson Rewards VIP. Matched members can use the benefits immediately.
How long the matched status runs
Radisson says matched status is “generally valid for two years.” Traveling For Miles quotes that wording and calls it vague.
Radisson Rewards’ standard terms set a 12-month qualification period. The period starts when a member completes a first stay and ends at the end of the same month a year later. Traveling For Miles expects a similar clock to apply to the match and labels that expectation as its own reading.
The outlet’s worked example places the end date at 30 September 2028 for a member who matches on 20 September 2026.
What Premium and VIP status carry
Premium members earn 27 points per dollar at participating Radisson Hotel Group properties and 13.5 points per dollar at Prize by Radisson properties. Points accrue on eligible stays and on food and beverage charged to the room. Base Club members earn 8 and 4 points per dollar.
Premium benefits include a room upgrade to the next category at check-in, early check-in and late checkout on request, access to Discount Booster at up to 20 percent off bookings and a 24-hour Premium contact centre. The tier also keeps the Club benefits: member-only rates, a priority check-in and checkout line at selected hotels, and a 10 percent food and beverage discount at participating restaurants.
VIP members earn 36 points per dollar at Radisson Hotel Group properties and 18 points per dollar at Prize by Radisson properties. VIP adds a room upgrade to the best available category, with suites at selected properties; breakfast for two on every day of the stay; a 15 percent food and beverage discount; access to VIP areas at selected hotels; one free piece of express ironing per stay; and a 24-hour VIP contact centre.
Where Radisson Rewards applies
Radisson Rewards covers Radisson Hotel Group properties outside the Americas. Radisson puts that at more than 1,100 hotels in over 100 countries, across Radisson Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson RED, Radisson Individuals, art’otel, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson, Prize by Radisson and Country Inn & Suites.
Radisson-branded hotels in the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean sit outside Radisson Rewards. Choice Hotels completed its acquisition of Radisson Hotels Americas on 11 August 2022, and those hotels now participate in Choice Privileges.
Radisson sets limits at Prize by Radisson properties. Points accrue at 13.5 and 18 points per dollar, and the food and beverage discount covers soft drinks. The priority check-in line and the VIP area access do not apply there.
Points moving between the two programmes
Radisson Rewards points convert to Avios at 10 Radisson points to 1 Avios, with a 2,000-point minimum. Traveling For Miles reports Radisson’s stated processing time at approximately four to six weeks and reports that transfers cannot be reversed. A member makes the transfer from the Redeem or Transfer section of a Radisson Rewards account.
Avios convert to Radisson Rewards points at 3 Avios to 5 Radisson points, with a 1,000-Avios minimum. Neither Finnair nor Radisson publishes a timeframe for that direction.
Traveling For Miles values Radisson Rewards points at 0.18 cents each and Avios at 1.0 cent each. At those valuations, 10,000 Radisson Rewards points carry USD 18 and 1,000 Avios carry USD 10. The ratios are the programmes’ own. The valuations and the arithmetic are the outlet’s.
Radisson lets members use as few as 10 points on a reservation, and points can reduce the cost of a cash booking.
What the record leaves open
Three items rest on the outlet’s report alone: the four-to-six-week processing time, the line that transfers cannot be reversed, and the absence of a published timeframe for the Avios-to-Radisson direction.
Traveling For Miles states that Radisson Rewards members get no reciprocal elite status of any sort, including no status challenge.
