The band the organiser publishes
Cloudflare Connect 2026 runs Monday 19 October through Wednesday 21 October at Moscone West, 800 Howard St. The organiser publishes its room block as a band: "prices in our hotel block ranging from $279 to $325 per night."
Four brands carry the block. The organiser names them on its own FAQ page as Marriott, IHG Hotels, Hilton and World of Hyatt.
The FAQ answer reads in full: "Yes, you can secure discounted rates by booking your accommodations directly during the registration process. We have partnered with several premier hotel brands in San Francisco to provide a variety of options for our attendees, with prices in our hotel block ranging from $279 to $325 per night."
The band is 46 dollars wide. The ceiling sits 16.49 percent above the floor. No page maps a brand or a property to a point on that band. The booking system behind the registration link holds the per-property rates, and no page publishes them.
The organiser's distance line stays qualitative. "All our partner hotels are located within a short distance of the main event site, with many accessible via a brief walk or a quick ride on public transit (BART/Muni)," the FAQ reads. It adds that the booking step shows each property's distance to Moscone West.
The cutoff closed the band on 28 September
The block carried its own clock. "Discounted room blocks for our conference attendees are available until September 28, 2026, or until the group block is sold out," the organiser writes. "While rates are secured for our group, they are available on a first-come, first-served basis."
The reservation handover follows that date. "You can make updates to your hotel reservation via your registration profile or through your hotel confirmation email by our cutoff date, September 28, 2026. After September 28, 2026, when our group's reservations are turned over to the hotels, you will contact the hotel directly for any reservation changes."
The cutoff sits 16 days in the past at this read on 14 October 2026. A booking made now falls outside that published window. The organiser adds one line: "please do not contact the hotel." Whether the block sold out before 28 September is unpublished.
One further line matters to a rate desk. Rates on hotel websites and on third-party travel sites "may be higher and do not count toward our event room block."
The nights the programme's own clocks set
The FAQ dates the stay. "If you are attending Cloudflare University or Partner Summit, please plan to arrive on Sunday, October 18," it reads. A Connect-only attendee arrives "by 3:00 PM on Monday, October 19 so you can join the Welcome Reception, which begins at 5:00 PM."
The week closes with Func(tion) at Oracle Park on Wednesday evening. The FAQ sets departure: "Please plan to depart on Thursday, October 22."
Those clocks give a four-night stay, Sunday 18 October through Wednesday 21 October, for the University and Partner Summit track. A Connect-only guest holds the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
Pass prices are published: a conference pass at $595, and $100 off for a .gov, .mil, .org or .edu address. The organiser's pricing record lists a group rate of $495 per pass for five to nine passes, and 50 percent off ticket prices for ten or more. The FAQ prices a Cloudflare University add-on at $495, and the same page's pricing record marks University sold out for 2026.
The scale figure
The organiser publishes its expected crowd on the event home page. Under the heading "Who you'll meet" the page reads: "5,000+ architects, developers, and security leaders. 40+ partners. Cloudflare engineers building the platform you ship on."
The citywide basis for the same nights
Engine's San Francisco page publishes a second basis. It gives $165 per night across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. The page defines those as par rates, the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search, and it excludes negotiated and booked rates.
The October line reads $176, seven percent over that citywide average. Thirty-five percent separates the cheapest month, December at $129, from the priciest, March at $197. The page ranks San Francisco 18 of 50 major markets by average rate, 11 percent above the $148 median.
The organiser's own budget template books a hotel line of "$350/night x 3 nights = $1,050." Three nights at the top of the block band come to $975, which leaves $75 across that stay.
What a front office holds
Four published inputs frame the week: a $279 to $325 band that closed on 28 September, a 5,000+ attendance line, four nights set by the programme's own clocks, and a citywide basis of $165 a night across twelve months of rate observations.
The per-property block rates, the room count behind the block and the sold-out date all sit behind the registration flow. Ask the four named brands for the nights of 19 to 21 October and set each answer beside the band.
