The title game sits next door at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday 5 December 2026, with kickoff at 8:00 p.m. ET and gates opening at 6:00 p.m.
The weekend's two dates come from three publishers
The venue's event page gives 5 and 6 December. The Big Ten Conference's own release gives Friday 4 December and Saturday 5 December at the Indiana Convention Center, with more than 200,000 square feet given to interactive games, entertainment, merchandise, giveaways, food and beverages. The destination bureau's championship page carries the FAN FEST on a Friday and a Saturday as well. Saturday 5 December sits inside the peak window under every published version.
The Saturday clock is published to the minute
Lucas Oil Stadium's own event page dates the gameday sequence. The south parking lot opens at 8:00 a.m. for ADA parking. The ticket office opens at 4:00 p.m. Stadium gates open at 6:00 p.m. Kickoff follows at 8:00 p.m. Gates to kickoff is two hours, and the parking lot to kickoff is twelve hours.
The conference release dates the game as the 16th annual title matchup and puts the broadcast on FOX. It also dates nearly two weeks of Big Ten activity around the city. The run opens with the inaugural Big Ten Volleyball Tournament from 20 to 25 November at Fishers Event Center.
What the rate setters work from
Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 rooms on the venue's footer block. 4,700 of those rooms connect to the Center by skywalk. The 70,000 forecast equals 9.86 attendees per downtown room.
Downtown ran 64.7 percent occupancy, a 209.11 dollar average daily rate and a 135.20 dollar revenue per available room. Bradford Allen published the snapshot on 19 March 2026 and cites CoStar and STR for the figures. The snapshot reports the rate up 12 percent and RevPAR up 13 percent year over year.
The Center's own house count on 5 December
The venue's live calendar lists the FAN FEST and the 38th Combat Aviation Brigade Ball as the Center's events on 5 December, with the ball on a 250 forecast. The Center's next dated event is the Performance Racing Industry Show from 10 to 12 December on a 67,500 forecast. That run is Thursday to Saturday. The month's second peak arrives five days after the first.
The Sunday the venue dates, and the dating on the bureau page
The venue's event page puts the FAN FEST's second day on Sunday 6 December. The conference release puts the second day on Saturday 5 December. Check-out times sit with each property, and the venue publishes none.
The destination bureau's championship page carries the previous edition throughout. It dates the game to 2025, between Ohio State and Indiana, and gives the FAN FEST hours as 3 to 9 p.m. on the Friday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the Saturday. Those hours fit the 2025 calendar, where 5 December fell on a Friday. The same block states that admission is complimentary with a game ticket, that fans without tickets can buy FAN FEST passes at Ticketmaster, that children aged 2 and under are free and that a military ID gains complimentary access. The 2026 hours and admission terms are not published on the pages read.
What the front office can set from here
Saturday 5 December carries the game and a festival day under all three published windows. The other day differs by publisher. A revenue manager setting that Saturday has the venue's 70,000 forecast, the gameday clock, the district's 7,100 rooms and the 4,700-room connected inventory. A front office staffing the Sunday has the venue's own two-event Center day on the Saturday, and one open question the venue's two publications answer differently.
The skywalk rule of thumb on the venue's page is a lockdown near 11:00 p.m. and a re-opening near 6:00 a.m. The same page states that the timing is event-dependent.
