One Saturday, 2,000 Guests: Front Office Read on the ABC Health & Fitness Expo

The ABC Health & Fitness Expo runs one day at the Indiana Convention Center on October 10, 2026, with doors open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Exhibit Hall A and a venue forecast of 2,000.

One Saturday, one arrivals clock

The Indiana Convention Center lists the ABC Health & Fitness Expo for October 10, 2026, in Exhibit Hall A. Doors run 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Forecast attendance is 2,000. October 10 is a Saturday. The venue's attendance line puts the check-in queue into the two hours before the doors open, so the front office staffs a morning peak on this date.

Two thousand forecast attendees is 28.2 percent of the 7,100 downtown hotel rooms the venue footer publishes. The same footer publishes 4,700 rooms connected to the Center by skywalk, and that is the walking route most of the expo traffic will use.

Two published attendance lines

The venue carries 2,000 forecast. The organiser's own site states: "We unite 5,000+ high-energy attendees with leading physical therapists, nutritionists, and holistic experts." The two lines measure different things. Plan capacity against the venue's forecast.

The expo is a first edition. The organiser's own copy calls it the first ABC Health & Fitness Expo and names Bruce Horan, Butler's all-time leading shooter, behind the three-point contest. A first edition carries no prior attendance record at either publisher.

The vendor count is the planning unit

The venue page carries the organiser's vendor figures: 200 vendor spaces in total and more than 60 businesses waiting on the vendor form. Two hundred booths is the unit a property can plan against. The organiser's listing describes exhibitors from gyms, physical therapy, nutrition and wellness brands, which points to local staffing and local visitors.

The promotions describe the audience

Two promotions run on the organiser's site. Promo code BEATBRUCE takes $5 off a ticket and enters the holder in a three-point contest against Horan, with five shots, five spots and one challenge per paid ticket. Promo code BOGO gives one free registration with one paid. A $5 discount and a buy-one-get-one offer describe a walk-up consumer audience.

Rate positioning for the one night

Downtown Indianapolis averaged a daily rate of $209.11 on 64.7 percent occupancy and $135.20 RevPAR, in the Downtown Indy Alliance snapshot that Bradford Allen republished on 19 March 2026 from CoStar and STR data. The snapshot puts the downtown daily rate 12 percent above the prior year and 30 percent above the national average. Price the single Saturday night off that base, and price it against the property's own comparable Saturdays in the citywide calendar.

The morning carries the labour

Two other events close in the building the same day. The FullScale Symposium runs October 8 to 10 against 1,000 forecast, and the American Dental Association Scientific Sessions run October 8 to 10 against 4,000 forecast, with registration and the Exhibit Hall open 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. that Saturday. The ABC expo opens its doors the same morning against 2,000. Three events share one Saturday.

The Saturday housekeeping turn covers the checkout of the two closing meetings while the desk works the expo arrivals. The venue's published terms refresh rooms once daily and carry a four-hour minimum charge for a room set change after the initial setup. Schedule the turn against the doors-open hour and the checkout flow.

The departure queue behind an 8 p.m. close

The venue publishes a skywalk lock-down time of approximately 11 p.m. and a reopening time of approximately 6 a.m., as a rule of thumb. An 8 p.m. close leaves three hours of open skywalk for a guest walking back to a connected property.

The desk then works two queues. The first lands that night, as a same-day visitor checks out before driving home. The second lands on Sunday morning for every guest who took the Saturday night. Hold a block of late-checkout rooms for the Sunday turn.

The read

The ABC expo contributes one Saturday night, and a large share of its attendance is local. The vendor count is the firm planning figure: 200 spaces. The Saturday morning puts the labour on the desk and the Saturday night carries the room revenue. Price the night against the downtown average of $209.11, and confirm the vendor count against the organiser's form before holding rooms.
