A midnight close resets the front desk rota

Sounds of Screams gates at 7 p.m. and closes at midnight at the Miami-Dade fairgrounds through 1 November. The desk rota, the night audit and the bar close follow the park clock.

The gate and the close

Sounds of Screams opens at 7 p.m. and closes at midnight at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition grounds, 10901 SW 24th St, Miami, FL 33165, through 1 November 2026. One ticket covers five haunted houses, scare zones, carnival rides and live entertainment.

Each ticket is valid for the date and time named at purchase. All ticket sales are final unless the law requires otherwise, and the park issues no refunds except where the law requires them.

The park publishes no last-entry time. The published window is the 7 p.m. gate and the midnight close, and that window is what the desk plans against.

One gate, one exit

Five hours separate the gate from the close. A guest who stays to the end reaches the car park after midnight. The grounds sit 8.7 miles and about 21 minutes by road from Miami International Airport on the OSRM free-flow estimate, and 19.1 miles from a Miami Beach address.

Staff the desk from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. with two agents. One takes a card and cuts a key. The second answers the telephone and keeps the queue moving.

Put the staffing decision in the rota before the season starts. A property that prints its last-arrival policy in the confirmation gives the arriving guest a term to read on the drive.

Late checkout lands the next morning

The late-checkout request reaches the desk at the morning push, at the minute housekeeping needs the room list.

Set one late-checkout price for the season and print it in the key packet. Cap the number per floor and put the cap in the rota.

Move the night audit

Start the audit before 11:30 p.m. or after 1 a.m. The desk cannot post the business day while arrivals stand at the counter.

A property that runs a separate food and beverage close sequences the two. The audit that touches the room ledger runs first. The outlet close follows it.

The last hour at the bar

The park closes at midnight. Check the property licence for its closing hour before promising service after it. Post the kitchen close time in the lift and in the key packet, where the guest sees it before arrival.

The party at the desk

Adult general admission is $49.99 plus a $2.53 fee, $52.52 in total. Children nine and under enter free. A season pass is $99.99 plus a $4.28 fee, $104.27 in total, and carries blackout dates of 31 October and 1 November.

Those two blackout nights are the last two nights of the run. A pass holder buys a single admission on either night.

One house, SOS HOUSE, is an 18+ attraction with graphic themes. A party travelling with young children will ask which houses suit them, and the single age line answers it.

Free child admission moves the bed count. Put the adults and the children on the confirmation separately, so housekeeping assigns sofa beds before the arrival.

The desk sheet for 31 October and 1 November

One page carries the whole window. The address, 10901 SW 24th St. The gate at 7 p.m. and the close at midnight. Two agents from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. The season late-checkout price and its floor cap. The audit start time on either side of the arrival queue. The kitchen and bar close, read off the licence. The 18+ house. The two blackout dates.

Add the refund line last. The park sells final tickets, and a desk that promises a refund the park will not give owns that conversation in the morning.
