SF Sketchfest opens its 24th edition on Thursday 14 January 2027 and closes on Sunday 31 January. That is an 18-day run, and the final night ends in a Monday 1 February checkout. The dates sit in the organiser's home page banner, over the line SF Sketchfest 2027, and in the same page's meta description. The attendee rate for those nights is not published.
The page that carried the rate last cycle is the festival's hotel page, and its copy still addresses the 2026 cycle.
What the organiser published for the 2026 cycle
That page names Hotel Kabuki, a JdV by Hyatt hotel, as an Official Hotel Partner of Sketchfest 2026. The listing gives the property 225 rooms and suites, places it in Japantown, names The Bar and the restaurant Nari, and prints one reservation line, 415-922-3200, with the instruction to ask for SF Sketchfest.
A second property, Hotel Enso, carries the same Official Hotel Partner line on the same page. Its booking link resolves to an IHG redirect carrying brandCode KI, hotelCode SFOBC and corporateNumber 787113000. The page states the corporate ID as its rate route.
The three windows and the three codes
The reservation instruction asks attendees to select Week 1 (Jan 15-18), Week 2 (Jan 19-25) or Week 3 (Jan 26-Feb 2), or to call the property and ask for the festival.
Each week label links to a Hyatt group-booking page under property code SFOJD. Week 1 carries G-SFS6, Week 2 carries G-SFS7 and Week 3 carries G-SFS5. Each anchor also carries a title attribute naming a different code: G-DU2M on Week 1, G-WS1O on Week 2 and G-TENJ on Week 3. The href and the title disagree on all three links.
A fourth code sits on the festival's sponsors page, where the Hotel Kabuki link points at the property page with corp_id 47122. That page's Enso link carries no code.
The nights the three windows do not cover
Read as arrival and departure pairs, the three windows cover 3, 6 and 7 nights, 16 in all. The stay window the same page publishes, 15 January to 1 February 2026, runs 17 nights and ends in a 2 February checkout. The nights of Sunday 18 January and Sunday 25 January 2026 fall outside every window.
Read the labels as stay nights instead, and the three windows total 19 nights against the same 17-night window. Neither reading produces a set of windows that tiles the stay span the page prints.
The 2027 window repeats the prior cycle's shape
Thursday 14 January 2027 sits 364 days after Thursday 15 January 2026. Sunday 31 January 2027 sits 364 days after Sunday 1 February 2026. Both runs are 18 days and 17 nights, and both open on a Thursday and close on a Sunday.
Divided on the same weekday boundaries, the 2027 run gives Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 January, Monday 18 to Sunday 24 January, and Monday 25 January to Monday 1 February. The organiser publishes no 2027 window, so that division is arithmetic on the 2026 pattern.
The open-market basis for the same nights
Engine's San Francisco market page puts the city average at $165 a night across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. January reads $166, one percent above that average, December $129, 22 percent below it, and March $197, 19 percent above it. The page states 35 percent between its cheapest month and its priciest.
The page defines its figures as par rates, the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search, drawn from searches made 10 to 180 days before check-in. Engine excludes negotiated and booked rates. Seventeen nights at the January line come to $2,822 on that basis.
The citywide spend line for the same nights
An Oxford Economics study released by the American Hotel & Lodging Association and the California Hotel & Lodging Association on 25 June 2026 puts each hotel room night in San Francisco at about $900 in citywide spending per visitor. The same release gives the hotel sector nearly 50,000 jobs, about 16,000 direct and about 34,000 ancillary. Seventeen nights on the $900 line come to $15,300.
What the desk can quote and what it cannot
The partner page gives the desk the property, its room count, the reservation line, three dated window links with a code on each, and the second partner's corporate ID. It publishes no 2027 rate, no cut-off date, no deposit term, no cancellation term, no attrition term and no minimum stay for either property.
Two of the festival's own pages disagree on the run. The home page and its meta description carry 14 to 31 January 2027. The schedule and tickets page still carries the prior window: "Sketchfest returns January 15 - February 1, 2026". Its own last-modified stamp is 16 January 2026.
The rate plan
The published record documents a three-window split and no single ladder across the run. The 2027 window matches the prior cycle in day count, night count and weekday shape, so the split the organiser documented is the arrangement its own page describes for a run of this shape.
Three items sit outside that record. The rate itself is printed nowhere. The two nights the prior windows left open are unaddressed. And four codes for two properties have to be reconciled with the property before any of them reaches a booking tool.
