One Gate Time And Eight Sold-Out Tiers At Pier 80

Portola's fixed 1pm door, an 11pm curfew and eight sold-out pass tiers set the arrival curve for San Francisco hotel desks in September.

One Door Time Across Two Days

Goldenvoice held the fifth Portola Music Festival on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026 at Pier 80. The organiser's FAQ publishes one door time for both days: 1 pm PT. The curfew is 11 pm PT. The general-info page repeats the 1 pm door.

One published entry time puts every arriving guest into one window.

Eight Tiers, All Sold Out

The pass page lists eight tiers. Each tier carries the same status: Sold Out. Two-day general admission started at $399.95. Saturday general admission started at $269.95. Sunday general admission started at $299.50. Two-day VIP started at $779.50. Saturday VIP and Sunday VIP each started at $459.95. The page also lists a two-day GA four-pack at $399.95 per pass and a two-day VIP four-pack at $699.95 per pass, each with the note Price shown x 4.

Three order terms sit beside the ladder. The page states Upfront Pricing: No Added Fees. Quantities were limited while supplies last. The page states there is No difference in tiers other than price. One payment plan put $49.99 down at checkout with equal biweekly payments through 31 July 2026. It carried a $4 fee per installment and a $100 order minimum.

A 21-Plus Event

Portola admits guests aged 21 and over. The general-info page reads You must be 21 years or older on the day you plan to attend the event. The FAQ adds that no one under 21 is admitted beside a companion aged 21 or older. A physical government-issued photo ID is required at the door.

The GA description lists the on-site spend for that crowd: access to all GA areas including food and beverage offerings and activations at all stages. The general-info page states that food and beverages are sold separately.

Late Covers Arrive After 11 pm

The curfew closes on-site trade for the day. A free Portola shuttle runs a loop between Pier 80 and 24th St. Mission BART Station from 12:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

Muni states that the platform at Third St. and Marin St. is unavailable from 10 pm to 12 am.

September Prices 16 Percent Above The City

Engine publishes San Francisco at $165 per night across 3.1M public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. The page defines a par rate as the cheapest public price at the time of each search. Every observation was made 10 to 180 days before check-in. September reads $192, 16 percent above the city figure. March reads $197. December reads $129, 22 percent below the figure. The page names March and September as the two peaks of the curve and December as the low point.

The page measures a 35 percent spread between the cheapest month and the priciest. It ranks San Francisco 18th of 50 major US markets and puts the city 11 percent above the $148 median of that set.

Arrival

The main entrance sits at 900 Marin St, San Francisco, CA 94124. There is no festival parking at Pier 80, and the page tells guests not to drive. Muni's T Third line stops at Third/Marin, one block from the pier. Route 15 Bayview Hunters Point Express exits at Third and Marin, two blocks from the venue. Caltrain riders use the 22nd Street Station and walk about a mile. Caltrain prohibits open alcoholic beverages on its trains from 9 pm on special event days.

The organiser publishes no hotel rate, no room block and no booking cut-off for the festival. It carries no attendance figure for either day. It carries no shuttle headway for the loop.
