The block
The Orthopaedic Research Society holds its 2027 annual meeting at Moscone West from Friday 19 February to Tuesday 23 February. The venue's own event feed files the same block under Conv / Tradeshow at Moscone West.
The exhibitor page puts about 2,300 orthopaedic researchers in the hall. Exhibitors work 20 to 22 February, three days inside the five.
The clocks
Exhibitor move-in runs Friday 19 February from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The hall opens Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and at 10 a.m. on Sunday and Monday. The organiser lists the closing times as TBD and marks the exhibit schedule tentative.
Move-out runs Monday 22 February from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
What the clocks do to the week
The arrival wave lands Saturday morning. Fifteen and a half hours separate the Friday floor close from the Saturday opening.
Two nights carry the hall: Saturday and Sunday. Monday night holds the delegate who stays for the Tuesday close, and the hall releases at 6:30 p.m. that evening.
A house pricing this week fences the Friday and Saturday arrivals and holds the Monday night. The floor time ends before the meeting does.
The rate context
Engine reports a $165 average nightly rate for San Francisco across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. February reads $166. Engine defines these as par rates, the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search.
The American Hotel and Lodging Association, with Oxford Economics, puts citywide spending at about $900 per hotel room night. Its 25 June 2026 release records more than $12 billion in hotel economic impact for 2025 and average daily rates at 92 per cent of 2019 levels.
San Francisco Travel forecasts 33 Moscone events and more than 640,000 room nights for 2027, against 38 events and more than 656,000 room nights for 2026.
Moscone counts over 20,000 hotel rooms within walking distance, and more than two-thirds of the city's 34,000 rooms on its book-an-event page.
The room block
The society publishes no room block, no block rate and no cut-off date for 2027. Its 2027 meeting menu carries no hotels page, and the Explore San Francisco link sends attendees to sftravel.com.
The week either side
ASCO's Genitourinary Cancers Symposium runs at Moscone West from 11 to 13 February 2027. It closes six days before the orthopaedic meeting opens.
