The sale and its window
IHG One Rewards is selling points with a 100 percent bonus. Traveling For Miles published the offer on 16 September 2026. The offer period runs from 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on 15 September 2026 to 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on 5 October 2026.
A single transaction of 5,000 points or more triggers the bonus. The bonus doubles the points bought, so a purchase of 5,000 points returns 10,000.
The rate ladder
The bonus holds at 100 percent across every qualifying purchase, and the price per point moves with the size of the purchase.
A member who buys the minimum that triggers the bonus pays $67.50 for 10,000 points, which is 0.675 cents a point. A member at the top of the page's ladder pays $3,000 for 600,000 points, which is 0.500 cents a point.
IHG prices points above the 0.5-cent rate for purchases of 25,000 points or fewer. The arrangement produces three inversions in the price list: 26,000 points cost less than 23,000, 27,000 cost less than 24,000, and 28,000 cost less than 25,000. The 0.5-cent rate begins at 26,000 points bought, before the bonus.
The ceiling and the exclusions
The key-terms block on the sale page caps a member at 200,000 points in a calendar year, and bonus points sit outside that cap. The headline above it offers 600,000 points, which is 300,000 bought plus the 100 percent bonus.
Points bought in the sale do not count towards IHG One Rewards Elite status, and bonus points do not count either. The points post within 72 hours, the price covers all fees and stays subject to applicable taxes, and purchased points are not refundable.
The nights the rate prices
A reward night at 65,000 to 75,000 points comes to $325 to $375 including taxes at 0.5 cents a point. The page names one worked example: a four-night stay at the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile at 81,000 points for a holder of the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card, which carries a fourth night free on award bookings. That stay prices at $405 at 0.5 cents.
What a revenue desk tracks to 5 October
The purchase happens inside a member's own account, and the figure shown there applies. A desk can pull the redemption share of the nights the window covers, the award pace against the cash pace on the dates a purchased balance would reach, and the rates loaded for those dates.
The sale closes on 5 October 2026, and the calendar-year cap limits a repeat purchase inside the same year.
