The sale and its two windows
IHG One Rewards cut 15 percent off the points price of reward nights. Head for Points published the offer on 17 September 2026, and its terms list puts bookings to 21 September with stays to 2 November 2026. The discount reaches all hotels, all brands and all countries.
Head for Points carries a correction inside its own terms list. An earlier line put the stay deadline at 21 November, and the terms list replaces that figure with 2 November.
The card route into it
IHG and Revolut launched two UK debit cards at the end of June 2026. Head for Points describes this discount as the first reward-night sale since those cards arrived, and cardholders qualified first.
The Elite card costs £18 a month. The Essential card carries no fee. Head for Points expects the sale to open to Platinum and Diamond members after the cardholder window, and puts cardholder access to these sales as the benefit the cards bought.
The terms a property can quote
No minimum stay applies and no maximum stay applies. The discount covers an all-points redemption and the points element of a points-and-cash booking.
Head for Points reports the cancellation terms unchanged, with rooms flexible to a couple of days before arrival. The booking page shows the old price beside the new price, and the outlet cites that display as its ground for calling the discounts genuine.
The stacking check
IHG runs a separate offer that takes 15 percent off reward nights at new hotels. Head for Points checked one participating property against both offers and reports no further discount under this sale at that property.
The finding rests on one property. A property that sits inside both offers can price the redemption and read the figure the page returns.
What the stay window leaves
The booking deadline passed on 21 September. Stays run to 2 November, so a booking made inside the deadline carries the discount on the nights inside the window.
A revenue team tracks the award share of nights across those weeks and prices the effective award rate against the cash rate for the same dates. Head for Points reports no registration step on the sale.
