Five competition days, one campus pool
The NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships run Tuesday 9 March through Saturday 13 March 2027 at the IU Natatorium, 901 West New York Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202. The NCAA championship page carries both dates with the venue. The NCAA's host-site release names the Great Lakes Valley Conference and Indiana Sports Corp as hosts.
The Natatorium's own calendar lists the meet at 9-13 March. Its next dated booking is the USA Swimming Speedo Sectional Championships at 18-21 March, five days after the close.
380 participants and the clocks that fill them
The NCAA's 2026-27 Important Updates memo sets the 2027 field. Men hold 175 places, 157 swimmers and 18 divers. Women hold 205 places, 183 swimmers and 22 divers. The memo states the total in its own words: "All swimmers and divers who are invited to the meet will be counted toward the 380 total number of participants allowed."
Divers enter through a separate gate. The diving qualification meet runs at the IU Natatorium on Tuesday 9 March, the opening day of the championship week. The memo sets the preliminary round at 11 dives, the final at six optional dives and 11 dives, and adds a consolation final for places 9 through 16.
Three dates sit in front of the desk's forward view. Online meet registration opens Thursday 14 January 2027. Entries close at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Monday 22 February. Official qualification lists with alternates post on ncaa.com by 5 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday 24 February, 13 days before the Tuesday open. Relay confirmations fall due on Friday 26 February, 11 days out.
Tuesday in, Saturday out
The arrival wave lands midweek. Five competition days open on a Tuesday and the close falls on a Saturday, so a party covering the whole run checks in on Tuesday 9 March and out on Saturday 13 March.
Those nights bill four: 9, 10, 11 and 12 March. A party that holds the Saturday night adds a fifth night and leaves on Sunday 14 March. No weekend sits in front of the arrival. The check-in load lands on one midweek afternoon.
The release date doubles as the meet's final day. The front desk, the bell team and housekeeping plan a single Saturday turnaround for the whole field.
The city week around it
Work Truck Week 2027 sits at the Indiana Convention Center, 9-12 March on the organiser's own site and 10-12 March on the venue's dated feed. That window covers the first three nights of the swim week. Work Truck Week reports 15,646 commercial vehicle industry professionals from 29 countries and all 50 states at its 2026 edition, on its own site.
A revenue manager pricing the swim window from the city's calendar has two dated citywide events inside the same five days.
The inventory on the corridor
The Indiana Convention Center's attendee hotels page counts 7,100 hotel rooms in downtown Indianapolis, 4,700 rooms connected to the center by skywalk, 200 downtown restaurants within walking distance and 15 minutes to the international airport. Visit Indy's meeting-hotels page counts 34,000 rooms in the metro area, more than 8,300 downtown with more than 3,000 in the pipeline, 4,700 connected to the center at 12 hotels with 800-plus in development, and 24 properties with 10,000 square feet or more of meeting space.
The Signia by Hilton Indianapolis takes reservations for stays beginning 1 February 2027, 36 days before the swim week opens. The Convention Center sizes the property at 800 rooms on its news page and at 803 on its expansion page. The hotel sits in the Wholesale District with a skywalk link to the center.
The clock the NCAA has not published
No session schedule for the 2027 meet appears on the championship page. The Important Updates memo states that the Prechampionships Manual, which carries that detail, posts on ncaa.org by mid-November.
The prior edition is the published reference point. The 2026 championships ran Tuesday 10 through Saturday 14 March at the Deaconess Aquatic Center in Evansville. Its participant manual carries the diving qualification meet from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Tuesday and the men's and women's 800-yard freestyle relay at 6 p.m. From Wednesday to Saturday it lists swim preliminaries at 10 a.m., dive preliminaries at 1 p.m. and swim and dive finals at 5:30 p.m. Every clock in that manual is stamped Central time, and Evansville keeps Central time while Indianapolis keeps Eastern time. The same manual prices the 2026 edition at $87 for an all-session ticket and $17 for an adult finals session.
The 2027 doors clock, the 2027 session times and the 2027 session count are unpublished as of 25 September 2026.
What is not published for the block
The championship page's hotel group carries one document, the 2025-26 team hotel options for Evansville. No 2027 Indianapolis team hotel list, rate, block or cut-off date sits on that page. The NCAA publishes the field at 380 participants. It publishes no room commitment alongside it.
