5,500 Delegates at Pier 48: The Front Desk Load

The AI Conference 2026 runs September 29 to October 1 at Pier 48 in Mission Rock. The organiser lists eight nearby hotels, seven with cut-off dates from August 28 to September 6, and publishes no block rate.

Three Days On The Waterfront

The AI Conference 2026 runs September 29 to October 1 at Pier 48 in the Mission Rock district of San Francisco. The venue is Shed A and B, 48 Pier 48, San Francisco, CA 94158. The organiser's FAQ gives an 8:00 a.m. PST start.

The organiser publishes 5,500+ builders, researchers and leaders for the two-day main event on September 30 and October 1. Day Zero on September 29 is capped at 350 participants.

Two Morning Registration Windows

Registration and coffee open each day. The clock moves by date. September 30 opens at 7:30 a.m. October 1 opens at 8:00 a.m. Sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. on both days. The two windows run 90 minutes and 60 minutes.

Day Zero opens at 8:30 a.m. and moves to workshops at 9:00 a.m. That window runs 30 minutes.

Breakfast covers sit inside each window. September 30 and October 1 carry the full house. September 29 carries the 350-person Day Zero group and the Hack Day teams.

The Evening Programme

The published agenda puts the last session block at 4:00 p.m. and starts the evening programme at 5:00 p.m. on both main days. September 30 runs a Party in the Park from 5:00 p.m. and Ignite Talks at 7:00 p.m. October 1 closes with a 5:00 p.m. reception. Day Zero ends with a networking mixer at 5:30 p.m.

Seven Cut-Off Dates

The organiser lists eight nearby hotels in order of availability. Seven carry a cut-off date. Luma Hotel San Francisco closes first, on August 28. The Hyatt Regency San Francisco closes last, on September 6.

Cartwright Hotel Union Square, Hotel Fiona and Hotel Julian each close on August 29. W San Francisco closes September 1. Hotel VIA closes September 2. SoMa House publishes no cut-off date.

Three properties carry a STILL AVAILABLE marker on the read: SoMa House, W San Francisco and Cartwright Hotel Union Square. No room rate publishes in the block. Each entry links to the property's own booking page.

What Released Nights Are Worth

A revenue desk reads the cut-off date as the point the group block closes for that property. Rooms the group does not fill by that date return to the property's own inventory, and the property prices them from its own ladder.

Engine puts San Francisco at $165 a night across 3.1M public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. The figure is a par rate, the cheapest publicly available nightly rate at the time of each search. The sample covers searches made 10 to 180 days before check-in.

September runs $192, which is 16 percent above the city average. March is the peak at $197 and December the floor at $129. 35 percent separates the cheapest month from the priciest. San Francisco ranks 18th of 50 markets, 11 percent above the $148 median.

The conference sits inside the September peak. The organiser publishes no block rate, so a desk prices released nights from the property's own ladder.

Dates Before The Block

Two dates sit ahead of the cut-offs. Team tickets end September 11. The organiser's cancellation term runs to 30 days out for a full refund minus a 5 percent processing fee.

Registration covers the two-day conference and the AI Week events. Day Zero sells as a full three-day pass with Hack Day access.

The 2027 edition is dated October 12 to 14 in San Francisco.
