SF Beer Week: Pacing Ten Nights Before the 2027 Dates Land

San Francisco Beer Week publishes no event-wide ticket. A front office prices the window from the listing count on each night and the city rate ladder.

Ten nights with no event ticket

The organisers publish no single event ticket. The FAQ on sfbeerweek.org states that each listing carries its own pricing. Many run pay as you go. Some carry an admission fee or an advance reservation.

A front office has no attendee number to work from. Three published signals carry the forecast. The count of listings on each night. The venue count behind them. The city’s monthly rate ladder.

What the 2026 run published

The 2026 edition ran from Friday 20 February to Sunday 1 March. The activity index carried 334 published items when it was read on 17 October 2026. 313 carry a single dated start. 21 carry no set day or time.

The 313 dated listings split across the ten nights. Friday 20 February carries 28. Saturday 21 February carries 44. Sunday 22 February carries 32. Monday 23 February carries 17. Tuesday 24 February carries 21. Wednesday 25 February carries 30. Thursday 26 February carries 34. Friday 27 February carries 34. Saturday 28 February carries 49. Sunday 1 March carries 24.

The two Saturdays hold 93 of the 313 between them. Monday 23 February holds 17, the smallest count of the run. The four midweek days from 23 to 26 February hold 102.

The location lines on those cards name 128 distinct venues.

Two weekends on one rate ladder

Engine’s city data page publishes a San Francisco average of $165 a night. The figure rests on 3.1 million public rate observations collected between May 2024 and April 2026. Those are par rates, the cheapest public price at the moment of each search.

February prices at $166, one percent above the city average. March prices at $197, 19 percent above it, and March is the highest month in the twelve-month table. December is the lowest at $129. The spread between the two ends runs to 35 percent.

A guest arriving on 20 February and leaving on 1 March books nine nights, all in February. Staying through the closing Sunday adds a tenth night, and that night prices in March. A flat ten-night rate across that boundary mixes the city’s near-average month with its highest one.

The sample covers searches made 10 to 180 days before check-in on business accounts. The figures are asking prices at the moment of each search. Engine states that negotiated corporate rates typically sit below them.

The programme fills a month out

The organisers post activities about a month in advance. For the 2026 run, submissions closed at the end of Wednesday 18 February. Listings change as venues finalise their programming.

That posting rule sets the forecast horizon. For the next edition the night-by-night counts will not exist until roughly four weeks before the first night. A revenue manager setting a February rate in November has the prior edition to work from.

The prior edition carries a usable shape. Both Saturdays sit at the top of the count. The Monday sits at the bottom.

The clearest published admission terms

SFBW Fest carries the clearest terms. The 2026 edition ran on Saturday 21 February at Salesforce Park, a 5.4-acre public park. A ticket covers unlimited tastings, live entertainment and a reusable commemorative tasting glass. Beer service requires a ticket and a guest of 21 or over.

The park stays open to all ages. Views and the free live entertainment need no ticket. The event runs rain or shine and moves indoors at the same venue when the weather turns.

A front office can quote those terms on the day. Every other listing keeps its pricing inside the listing, and the organisers direct pricing questions to the host.

What a listing costs a venue

Additional listings run $50 each. The Host Starter Kit runs $200, or $150 before 23 January, and carries one listing with a participant profile and host kit. The Single Location Bundle runs $550, or $450 before 23 January, with six listings, a feature listing and two general-admission Fest tickets.

Submissions are limited to licensed parties. The hosting guidelines require a licence to serve alcohol or the proper permits, and name bars, restaurants and breweries as the eligible hosts. Independent craft breweries must be central to any listing.

The 2027 calendar

The Bay Area Brewers Guild produces the week. It had published no dates for a 2027 edition on 17 October 2026, and the site still carried the 2026 run as its current programme.

The same 20 February to 1 March window lands on different weekdays in 2027. Saturday 20 February would open the run. Monday 1 March would close it. The two Saturdays would fall on 20 February and 27 February.

In 2026 the two Saturdays fell on 21 and 28 February. A front office planning against that pattern moves both weekend blocks back one day.
