Royal Garden Hotel moves its rate decisions onto IDeaS G3
Royal Garden Hotel selected the IDeaS G3 Revenue Management System to rework its forecasting and pricing. IDeaS published the release on its own newsroom on 8 October 2026 at 13:07 UTC. hotel-online.com carried the same text at 16:17 UTC the same day.
The 396-room hotel sits beside Kensington Gardens and overlooks Kensington Palace. The release, WorldHotels and the hotel's own LinkedIn company page all give 396 rooms. Gareth Quin's own LinkedIn position description reads 394 bedrooms and suites. The release figure is 396.
The hotel's guest mix spans international leisure travellers, corporate guests, groups, entertainment clients and sporting teams. The release states that the hotel traditionally draws strong summer business from the Middle East, alongside guests from the United States and other international markets.
Demand from those source markets shifted through 2026. Quin said the shifts reinforced how important it is to see when demand builds, how far in advance guests book and where the strongest opportunities sit.
Three goals behind the selection
The release states that the hotel upgraded its cloud-based property management system before the revenue review and selected IDeaS afterwards. No document names that property management system.
Three goals sit behind the selection. The hotel wants more responsive forecasting, less manual effort in routine pricing and more consistent evaluation of group business.
A booking curve gives the commercial team the pace at which rooms sell into each date. Pricing recommendations sit on that curve across the room categories and the booking horizon.
“Royal Garden Hotel has a varied business mix, from international leisure and corporate guests to groups, entertainment clients and sporting teams, and each behaves differently,” said Quin, commercial director at Royal Garden Hotel. “Recent shifts in international demand have reinforced how important it is for us to understand when demand is building, how far in advance guests are booking and where the strongest opportunities lie.”
“With better visibility into those patterns, alongside more detailed insight into segment and room-type performance and pricing recommendations, our team can spend less time making day-to-day adjustments and reacting to changes, and more time focusing on the wider commercial decisions that support long-term growth.”
Group business and the displacement trade
Royal Garden Hotel hosts sporting teams, corporate events and entertainment business. The release states that the total value of one of those opportunities extends past bedrooms into food, beverage and event spend. IDeaS group evaluation tools let the team assess a group enquiry against the transient demand it would displace.
“Royal Garden Hotel is one of London's most distinctive independent luxury properties, with a business mix that demands both agility and precision,” said Warren Mandelbaum, principal sales director EMEA at IDeaS.
The release states that the hotel will manage pricing and availability across its room categories and the booking horizon. Royal Garden Hotel publishes its room inventory and offers at royalgardenhotel.co.uk.
