I Prefer doubles base points on two-night stays through 31 December

Preferred Hotels & Resorts doubles I Prefer base points on qualified stays of two nights or more, with registration and booking in October and stays through 31 December.

Preferred Hotels doubles base points on its own stays

Preferred Hotels & Resorts is paying I Prefer members double base points on qualified stays. The programme runs the offer under its own line, Double the Points, Double the Possibilities, at more than 700 participating hotels and resorts worldwide.

Members register and book from 1 to 31 October 2026 and stay by 31 December 2026.

Registration comes before the booking

The terms block on the registration page sets four conditions. The member registers and books inside 1-31 October 2026. The stay runs to at least two nights. A stay completed before the member registers does not qualify. A reservation made before the promotion period does not qualify, even where the stay dates fall inside the promotion period.

Those clauses carry a booking sequence. A September reservation for a November arrival sits outside the offer. The member registers first, then books.

Ten points a dollar becomes twenty

The membership page prints the base earn as 10 points for each USD 1 spent on eligible stays. Doubling that rate puts the offer at 20 points for each USD 1. A USD 200 room bill earns 2,000 points at the standard rate and 4,000 under the offer.

The terms name base points as the doubled component.

Tier bonuses sit outside the doubling

The programme splits into three tiers. Silver covers 0 to 24,999 points and carries the base earn. Gold covers 25,000 to 49,999 points and adds 20 per cent bonus points on each stay. Titanium starts at 50,000 points and adds 50 per cent. Joining carries no fee.

Tier bonuses sit outside the double-points terms. The terms state nothing about how the two combine.

Two published wordings of the stay window

The programme home page reads the broader version: members who register earn double points on every stay from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2026. The registration page’s own Terms and Conditions read double base points on qualified stays and set the two-night minimum. Both pages belong to the programme, and the registration page’s block governs the award.

The AARP rate code

AARP’s benefit page for Preferred Hotels & Resorts offers its members an automatic upgrade to I Prefer Gold tier and 2,500 bonus points on a first stay. The code IPAARP applies the offer at booking and enrols the member in I Prefer.

That partnership runs on its own rate code. The double-points campaign carries no rate code, and neither page states how the two offers sit together.
