Three Nights on the Front Desk
The ASCO Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium 2027 runs Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 January at Moscone West, 800 Howard Street. The venue's own event feed carries the booking from 21 to 23 January in Moscone West.
Two arrival patterns land on three nights. A Wednesday 20 January arrival with a Saturday 23 January checkout holds the nights of the 20th, 21st and 22nd. A Thursday 21 January arrival with a Sunday 24 January checkout holds three nights as well.
The 2026 edition sizes the demand. The association's demographics page prints 5,190 registrations for 2026, made up of 4,230 professionals, 770 exhibitors and 190 media and others. Of the professionals, 3,490 attended in person and online and 740 took the online-only registration. The association's home page prints 5K+ total attendees and 54 countries represented. The largest national groups in 2026 were the United States at 2,610, Japan at 252, Canada at 152, China at 96, the United Kingdom at 80 and France at 73.
The Deadline That Sets the Booking Clock
One date governs the room and the badge. The organiser prints it as "Hotel Reservations and Early Registration Deadline is December 2, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET." December 2, 2026 falls 50 days before the Thursday open.
The housing page states the consequence in its own words. Reservations received after the deadline are processed on a space-available basis and may be subject to a higher rate.
The housing page also states that cancellations must be made 72 hours before the arrival date to avoid a cancellation fee. The organiser routes new group room blocks through the ASCO Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium Customer Service Center.
The Rate Ladder on the Badge
The registration page publishes a three-step in-person ladder for physicians and scientists. On or before December 2, 2026 the member rate is 975 dollars and the nonmember rate is 1,495 dollars. Between December 3, 2026 and January 8, 2027 the pair reads 1,125 and 1,645 dollars. From January 9, 2027 the pair reads 1,200 and 1,720 dollars.
Registration remains open through 4:30 PM PT on Saturday 23 January. The in-person fee includes entrance to all sessions, posters and exhibits, three continental breakfasts, three boxed lunches and two wine and cheese poster receptions.
Registration cancellation closes on 17 January 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, on the organiser's own deadline line.

The Market Around the Three Nights
Engine's published San Francisco ladder puts the city average at 165 dollars a night, with January at 166 dollars and December at 129 dollars. Three nights at the January figure is 498 dollars.
The convention centre publishes two room counts of its own. Its FAQ states that there are over 20,000 hotel rooms within walking distance of The Moscone Center. Its booking page states that more than two-thirds of the city's 34,000 hotel rooms sit within walking distance.
