IHG One Rewards pays triple Miles & More miles on qualifying stays under its Miles & More 3X promotion. Members register for the promotion and switch their IHG One Rewards earning preference to Miles & More before check-in. That election costs the member IHG One Rewards points on the same stay.
Two end dates on IHG's page
The offer page dates the promotion 1 October to 31 December 2026. The promotion's terms on the same page set both the registration period and the stay window at 1 October to 30 November 2026. Frequent Flyer Bonuses and InsideFlyer both date the offer to 31 December 2026. The promotion's terms set the window, and a room night outside it earns nothing.
Room nights from a stay completed before the member registered do not earn.
What the triple rate pays
Base miles accrue at 2 miles per US dollar spent at participating IHG hotels worldwide. IHG's worked example uses a 100-dollar room rate: 200 base miles and 400 bonus miles, for 600 miles in total. The page states that members keep earning triple miles with every stay and that the promotion sets no limit.
Four brands pay base miles at 1 mile per US dollar: Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, IHG Army Hotels and IHG Residences. Triple miles at one of those brands work out at 3 miles per dollar.
What counts as a qualifying stay
A qualifying stay requires a minimum one-night stay booked on ihg.com at an eligible direct booking rate. Reward Nights and Points & Cash bookings do not qualify. Bookings made through online travel agencies such as booking.com or expedia.com do not qualify.
Two booking rules follow. Multiple checkouts for consecutive nights at the same hotel count as one stay. Non-consecutive qualifying nights at the same hotel may count as separate stays. When two or more members check into the same room, the miles go to the member who made the booking. When a member books more than one room for the same or overlapping nights, the bonus miles apply to one booking only.
The earning preference switch
A member selects Miles & More as their earning preference in the IHG One Rewards account before check-in. IHG's terms state that a member receiving 3X miles through the promotion is not entitled to IHG One Rewards points for the same stay.
Miles can take up to six weeks to post. IHG reserves the right to decline or retract the miles where the member was not eligible to receive them.
The participating brands
IHG names 17 participating brands: InterContinental, Regent, Kimpton, Hotel Indigo, HUALUXE, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn Club Vacations, Holiday Inn Resort, EVEN, voco, Vignette Collection, Atwell Suites, avid, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites.
IHG also names Six Senses Hotels Resorts & Spas, Ruby Hotels and Iberostar Beachfront Resorts among its IHG Hotels & Resorts brands. Its terms state that not every Six Senses or Ruby property takes part in IHG One Rewards or has completed integration into the programme, and that those properties may not take part in the promotion.
Terms that decide a claim
Blackout dates may apply. Rates are per room, per night. IHG excludes taxes, gratuities, resort fees, parking fees and incidental charges from its published rates unless a rate expressly includes them.
IHG reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the promotion, and the Miles & More programme rules are incorporated into the offer. The page carries the programme scale IHG uses across the portfolio: 21 brands and more than 7,000 destinations. A list of excluded hotels sits at the bottom of the promotion's terms.
The two conditions on the member
The booking must be made on ihg.com at an eligible direct rate. The earning preference must read Miles & More before check-in. A stay that meets both earns triple miles and no IHG One Rewards points.
