Five hotel programmes are selling points
The Gate With Brian Cohen published its miles and points round-up on Friday 2 October 2026. The edition counts 17 loyalty programmes with an offer running, and five of those programmes are hotels. Each hotel offer moves points into an account below the programme’s standard price, inside a window that closes on a set date.
Choice Privileges: 30 percent off to 22 October
The round-up titles the Choice entry 30 Percent Discount and closes it on Thursday 22 October 2026, with a minimum purchase of 5,000 points in one transaction and a 180,000-point annual limit. Its own tier line reads a 40 percent discount at $0.00721 a point for a purchase of 5,000 to 171,000 points. AwardWallet reads the same 22 October close as up to 40 percent at 0.62 cents a point and reports the offer as targeted. Points post within 24 hours, and purchased points earn no elite status credit.
World of Hyatt: 20 percent off to 5 October
The round-up closes the Hyatt entry at the end of Monday 5 October 2026 and sets a 7,000-point minimum. Its worked figure reads $1,430.00 for 66,000 points, printed as $0.0208 a point. AwardWallet pairs the same 20 percent discount with a 3,000-point minimum and 2.08 cents a point, and closes the sale at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on 5 October 2026. It adds a 60-day membership condition, a 48-hour posting window and no elite status credit. Points.com processes the purchase.
IHG One Rewards: a 100 percent bonus to 5 October
The round-up closes the IHG entry at the end of Monday 5 October 2026. It sets a 5,000-point minimum purchase and a maximum of 300,000 base points for $3,000.00, with the bonus points sitting outside that figure. It prices the points at $0.0050 each. AwardWallet’s record of the promotion reads a 100 percent bonus at 0.5 cents a point, with a maximum purchase of 600,000 points including the bonus.
Marriott Bonvoy: a 55 percent bonus to 23 November
The round-up runs the Marriott entry through Monday 23 November 2026, with a 2,000-point minimum and a maximum of 200,000 points before the bonus. It prices the points at almost $0.0081 each. AwardWallet reported the sale on 29 September 2026 and closes it at 11:59 p.m. Eastern on 23 November 2026, with a 55 percent bonus on 2,000 points or more at 0.81 cents a point and a 200,000-point annual limit. Purchased points post within 72 hours by the programme’s terms, and a new Bonvoy member waits 30 days after enrolment before a purchase.
Wyndham Rewards: up to 90 percent to 21 October
The round-up closes the Wyndham entry on Wednesday 21 October 2026, from a 3,000-point minimum. AwardWallet reads the sale as up to a 90 percent bonus through 11:59 p.m. Eastern on 21 October 2026, with a 3,000-point minimum for any bonus and a 100,000-point annual cap before the bonus. Its tiers run at 60 percent for 3,000 to 9,000 points, 70 percent for 10,000 to 15,000, and 90 percent from 16,000 points at 0.68 cents a point. Wyndham’s own hotel deals page carries the offer as a bonus of up to 90 percent through 21 October 2026.
The price per point is the number to carry
Four of the five programmes publish their rate in more than one place, and the price per point holds across those pages. IHG’s 100 percent bonus delivers points at half a cent. Marriott’s 55 percent bonus delivers them at 0.81 cents. Wyndham’s top tier delivers 0.68 cents. Choice runs at 0.72 cents on the 30 percent rate and 0.62 cents on the 40 percent rate. Hyatt’s 20 percent discount delivers points at 2.08 cents.
Two of the five windows had closed by 13 October 2026, when the Hyatt and IHG offers both ended on 5 October 2026. The Choice, Wyndham and Marriott offers continue. Choice closes on 22 October 2026 and Wyndham on 21 October 2026.
What the round-up carries and what it leaves out
Each programme sets its own annual purchase cap, and purchased points post to a member account inside the programme’s stated window. The offers price points, and the programmes’ terms carry no change to a hotel’s cash rate.
The round-up gives no cash rate and no award price for any hotel, so it leaves the value of a purchase to the member to work out against a planned stay. It states no ceiling for the Choice purchase and no tier set for IHG beyond the headline rate. It does not say which of the five offers are targeted, and Choice and Wyndham both vary by member.
