A Union Square Hotel Moves Its Guest Screen to SONIFI
Hotel Nikko San Francisco installed a SONIFI interactive television and casting platform across its guest rooms. The property and the vendor announced the deployment in a release dated 22 September 2026.
The platform runs as one embedded system. SONIFI's casting application sits on the televisions, so a guest streams from a phone without attaching a second in-room device. Customized branding carries the property's own design through the interface.
What the Guest Sees on Screen
The interactive layer promotes the hotel's venues and facilities. It names Feinstein's at the Nikko, Restaurant Anzu, Kanpai Sushi Lounge, the 24-hour wellness facilities, the private sauna and steam rooms, and the glass-enclosed indoor pool.
Entertainment runs across international programming, premium sports packages, and still-in-theater and early-release movies on demand. The release puts the streaming catalogue at more than 5,000 apps.
The Two Named Executives
"Our guests expect a seamless blend of luxury, comfort and innovation throughout their stay," said Casey Neuburger, general manager of Hotel Nikko San Francisco. "This new platform from SONIFI enhances the in-room experience with intuitive technology that reflects the elevated level of hospitality Hotel Nikko is known for."
"Hotel Nikko's unique blend of contemporary sophistication, bespoke service and welcome conveniences consistently goes beyond expectations," said Ahmad Ouri, chief executive officer of SONIFI. "It's no wonder they're a favorite destination for tourists and travelers. We're honored to help bring that experience to life in each of their guest rooms, setting a new standard for what modern hospitality can look like."
Ouri holds the chief executive officer title on SONIFI's own leadership page. The release names Neuburger as the hotel's general manager.
The Property and the Vendor
Okura Nikko Hotels lists the property at 532 guest rooms across 25 aboveground floors, steps from Union Square.
SONIFI describes itself in the release as the largest guest technology provider in hospitality, deployed in more than 1.1 million rooms across 5,400 properties. Both figures describe the vendor's global estate.
What an Operator Takes From It
The deployment runs on the televisions already in each room. The screen carries the hotel's branding, and it gives the restaurants, the wellness floor and the pool a placement inside the room.
The release records no install cost, no room-by-room completion schedule and no deployment count inside the property.
